I was looking at the Cowboys and noticed they don't have a punter on their roster. Toby Gowin signed with the Jets.
What's the deal with this? Gambit?

Nope for some strange reason they have 2 punters trying for the starting job but they have not released there name.

The two punters we have on the team are Mat McBriar and Ryan Flinn. I will have to teach my fellow Cowboy brethren how to keep up with our players.
Ryan Flinn is 6-5, 205 from Central Florida and is a Rookie.
Mat McBriar is 6-1, 202 from Hawaii and is an old Rigby player turned Punter. Darren Bennett also an old Rugby guy got Hawaii to take a look at this kid and give him a scholarship on Bennetts advice.
Ryan Flinn
Mat McBriar
Interestingly enough, it was coach Knight who was making some key observations. Knight stood the whole time during practice, and the guy is just so perceptive. For example, Knight marveled over how Keyshawn Johnson didn't drop a pass after missing the first one thrown at him. Knight, a punter in high school, also thought punter Mat McBriar looked great. McBriar has the ability to punt the ball end over end, so when it hits the ground it's possible that the ball bounces backwards -- perfect for when you're punting close to the end zone. And, yes, a college basketball coach noticed all this.
Tulane took possession after a 73-yard punt by Mat McBriar, his longest of the season.

I tell you what was even worse, when Joe Theisman punted the ball for a loss. Anyone remember that one? Ouch

If Opie is 6-5 205! Otherwise, he is about the same size as one of your safetys who is 6-2 207 in Matt Bowen!

And Tom Tupa 6-4 225 which is bigger than all your safetys except Roy Williams 6-0 234 and

Jeff Robinson 6-4 264
