I envy you guys!

I am a dolphins fan. I envy this team . This offseason you have picked up a solid running back, sure you had to give up the champ, but shawn springs wasn't a bad replacement. YOu drafted a hammer at saftey. You brought back one of the best coaches in the NFL, and you have to worry about which great QB will start.

Mean while over on finheaven, we are yelling at each other about if weed is good or bad (ricky "the Quitter" williams")

Couldn't land two stud OL men in the offseason. Couldn't get Brunell or Ramsey. Damn the Redskins, I wanted RAmsey.

I still think the phins will have a good season because we have done it without Ricky and less talent before.

I'll always be a huge Redskins fan, and they'll always be my team, but deep in my closet I like the Dolphins. I was sorry to see Williams quit. I was also hoping to see the "rubber match" of the Redskins Dolphins superbowl history on coming seasons.

it is true you have done well with less talent... but that was with a hall of fame coach...

wanstedt ruined chicago and is running another great franchise in the ground...

the sad part is wanstedt is going to pitch huizenga that b/c ricky left he needs two more years... and huizenga will go for it...

food for thought... the two years you had ricky.... no playoffs... your last playoff appearance... lamar smith was your back... travis minor and leonard henry are pretty good... conrad can get short yardage and goaline carries... the key to your season is fiedler... i think he will beat feely... but fielder needs to stay healthy all year...

good luck

I am one that feels Shawn Springs very well could be a bad replacement, should he play like he has the last 2 seasons.

We'll see. He is a big part of their season this year, one way or the other.

The Dolphins will go 7-9 and Steve Spurrier will be their Ol' Ball Coach next season. Enjoy!

Now that's just mean. Gaphinfan had only nice things to say about the 'Skins. Cut him a break.

You're right...Don't worry Gaphinfan...

1)Dan Marino will change his mind and come back to the front office.
2) Ricky Williams will unretire.
3) The Dolphins won't regret giving up a 2nd round draft pick for a 3rd string qb.
4) Dave Wannstedt will resign at the end of the season.
5) Jay Fielder will have a "Montana" like year.
6) Travis Minor will be the next Clinton Portis.
7) Adewele will end his holdout and have 18 sacks.

There, don't you feel better now. Glad to help.

I watched Around The Horn yesterday and thought Michael Smith made some excellent points. The Dolphins went 11-5 for two straight seasons before Ricky showed up. That's with Jay Fiedler at quarterback and Dave Wannstedt as coach. If they can find a Lamar Smith caliber runner, why would we expect them to be any worse than that?

Maybe this is in the wrong forum...

The only team going 11-5 in the AFC East is the Patriots. The Dolphins will let Ricky Williams retirement be an excuse all season long.

nah, its the right forum, gaph started the topic by talking about the skins, but i think everyone feels bad for the guy so it kind of got off topic by everyone offering the "keep your chin up speech". ;)

I've always respected the Dolphins. I think Wanny is getting a bad rap, but I don't follow the Dolphins closely. I know he didn't take his team to the playoffs last year, but they were 10-6. That happened to us one year with Gibbs if I'm not mistaken. One of the things that has me worried about the Ricky Williams situation is the chance of losing out on a potential O-Gun trade. I'm afraid some other team might pick him up.

I heard a very suprising stat on the radio yesterday! Dave Wannstedt over the last 4 years has more wins then any other coach! I could not believe that stat. I do not think Wannstedt is good coach but I just thought that was interesting! The Dolphins are in a ton of trouble without Ricky! I still think Fiedler should start at QB for them! They really need to patch up their o-line! Zach Thomas and Junior Seau are over the hill also!

I could be wrong but he hasn't done much playing in the last 2 seaons  .

We're bringing him in here to return to his probowl calibur that has been unachievable due to frequent injury. Im banking on the thought that he's going to have an injury free year and will be a huge surprise. Theres nothing wrong with 2 probowl CB's!

That is not very nice, I am a Seminoles Fan too. Plus I don't want to go through 20 QB's in Spurrier's system.
