Here is a little poll over at ESPN.com.....
ESPN The Magazine
Who's the toughest in every league? Only the players know for sure. So we asked 'em.
In addition, SportsNation wants to know who you think is the toughest guys in each of the four major team sports? Check out our list ranker and make your selections.
MLB | NFL | NHL | NBA
Duce Staley
Steelers RB
Played half of 1998 with a hernia, and still gained more than 1,000 yards.
Brett Favre
Packers QB
His 208 straight starts are impressive. Playing the last 11 with a broken right thumb on his throwing hand is just showing off.
LaDainian Tomlinson
Chargers RB
The 4-12 Chargers' only option last season had every reason (ankle, back, calf and shoulder injuries) to sit. Instead, he caught 100 passes and ran for 1,645 yards.
Rodney Harrison
Patriots S
Says ex-teammate Tomlinson: "Against the Raiders in 2002, he got knocked out cold, took one play off and ran back in. Talk about playing in pain."
Steve McNair
Titans QB
There's "doubtful," "questionable," "probable" and McNair. His turf toe, strained ribs and bad back have kept him out of practices, but not games. He mocks injury lists.
I would take Bret Favre without a doubt. The guy is made of heart and steel. Who do you all think is the toughest out of these guys?
