Cowboy's Sign Eddie George!

This can't be good. I just saw on ESPN that the Cowboys signed Eddie George to a one year deal. Julius Jones and Eddie George are much more imposing than just Julius Jones. I know that George is an injury risk but I still don't like it.

This should not be in the training camp forum. I'm moving it.

i'm fine with george averaging 3.3 yards per carry for the cowgirls next year.

George's average per carry was worse than Troy Hambrick's last year. With our improved run D, he shouldn't be feared. The Titans are good because of McNair. Eddie is not very good anymore, and he'll regret going to camp in the Texas heat with a tyrant running the show. If we hadn't done the Portis deal, would this washed up old man be wearing burgundy and gold? Whew!! I'm a lot happier with #26!!

WOW the improved defense huh. Thats debatable. 34 year old MLB a decent OLB, declining DE and DT. and 3 decling and hurt CB's.
The one, two punch of George and Jones will kick ass. Just watch

If your in Texas you should know that they are holding training camp in Oxnard, California! Since we are America's Team we have to go all over for training camp so all our fans can see us!

We'll be able to stack against your running game, because everyone knows you don't have a QB. Also, how can you possibly think our rushing D could be even close to as bad as last year? Better coaches and better players make a better D!! It's very simple. You guys just took a step backwards with EG. If you wanted a worthless, washed up old man to get tackled in the backfield, you should have kept Emmitt.

Unlike you puke fans, I focus on MY team rather than the team I hate more than a blistering Texas sunburn. Oh yeah, Oxnard. I forgot the fat Tuna can't handle the sun. As far as I'm concerned, California can keep 'em. Nobody around here will agree to pay for their new stadium, which they desparately need, but maybe someone in California will. The funny thing about the EG situation is that it turns you pukes into hypocrites. You've been laughing at the "past his prime veteran" signings on our team for years. Now you have one, and he's the savior of your team. With Vinny and EG starting for you guys this season, you might average 6 yards per game. What's next for you guys? Bruce Smith? A "Prime Time" comeback? Maybe Stepnoski can put the bong down long enough to try out!!

I remember about two years ago. The Steelers and the Titans met in the play offs. The steelers gameplanned to knock Eddie George out. They all knew if you hit him hard enough you will knock him out and thats what they did. While he is a definite upgrade to the no good inexperienced running backs in Dallas. He is still injury prone because he can't take a hit. With the linebackers that we have got I'm not worried about him running up serious yards on us. Michael Barrow is a known run stuffer and LaVar will end Eddie George's career if he runs his way often. Ohh, Almost forgot Marcus Washington is about as good as you can get on the strong side spot.

LOL really Trotter was a better run stuffer then Barrow, and you guys could not even stop HAMBRICK....lets get real.

I assume you have stats to back that up and are not just being a typical puke fan.

This is a good move for Dallas just for the simple fact that Eddie will help relieve a lot of the pressure thats been placed on JJ. JJ, being a rookie had a lot on his shoulders. Signing Eddie will help JJ carry the load. That being said, I'm not worried about Eddie being a playmaker anymore.

YUP
Trotter coming off of knee surgery
Trotter age 27 115 tackles 1.5 sacks 2 FF 1 int
Barrow age 34 115 tackles 3.0 sacks 2 FF 0 int
So if you look at it that Trotter was coming off of knee surgery and is 7 years younger then Barrow. IMO Trotter is better. It was his first year in the system what do u expect. You probally can expect the same performance from the D this year since it will be the first year in the system

Thats all well and good. You said Trotter was better against the run, not better over all. That's the stats I am referring to.

Ya'll talk a big game kinda like Albert Connell did the week before playing us in Oct 99! I believe Deion shut him up with a 70 yard return! Like I said wait and see, we will see ya'll three weeks in. Then I can come back here and see all the excuses, and the crow eating contests!
Oh and Tuna wasn't out in the heat last year either, they were in San Antonio in the Dome....and there is no way Cowboys move to California. Jerry will get his new stadium, it's just too bad they won't use these plans to upgrade Texas Stadium!

If the best ya'll can do is Eddie maybe you should have kept Hambrick George doesn't run more than 20 yards without getting tired

Barrow!?!?!?!?!?!?! Thats it??? You forgot about Arrington and Washington. And if by some miracle George gets through the linebacking corps he will have Sean Taylor waiting for him.

Freed up by the biggest clip I ever, and the refs never, saw. The NFL ships in referees from Porfessional Wrestling when Dallas plays. They are always conveniently looking the other way. BTW, are we playing the girls in three weeks? I thought it was more like two months away.

So you think a guy with a seven year edge, getting the same # of tackles, less sacks, and playing behind a line where he is responsible for making the play while they hold up blockers had a better season?
Man, you 'Pie fans can sure delude yourselves. What will you tell yourself when your girls come back to reality with a 6-10 season this year?
