Just a quick reminder: The NFL Network will be airing all kinds of Skins this weekend. George Allen stuff to the present. I know where I'll be Saturday...sitting back with a few of my 12 oz. friends wasting my day away. I think it all starts around 1pm or so, then a break, but then picks back up on the Skins. Hope we enjoy it!!

No garbage was that special on pansy girl Troy Aikman...
Funny how...they didn't show his career ending play?
Uh, uh...there it is, the one play that missing from his biography. Must be a touchy subject for him.
Garbage? Naw, quality television.

Sorry Gambit, but I seriously doubt the the network would actually "waste" almost an entire day devoted to one team: THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS
I don't recall Dallas getting that much airtime. Parcells gets more airtime than your team, and most of it is with the Giants.
And to you Chris...nice pic

Just maintain a squatting position Gambit, and breath deeply. The pain should subside in a few minutes.

Yeah, ALL of the Redskin Super Bowls will be shown on Saturday.
I already have them ready to be saved on TiVo.

If I buy a TIVO tonight, how long will it take to setup? I have directv and I want to save the Bowls.

About 10 minutes. - I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DirecTV has a deal right now - you can get one for $99, (this becomes your satellite receiver that has Tivo and is Dolby Digital 5.1)
Oh well, the trusty VCR is standing by and ready.

I got this package last week. TiVo is nuts, a serious life changing event.
All you have to do is swap out the old receiver w/ the TiVo receiver then call DirecTV and tell them to add it to your signal....10 minutes. $5.00 extra a month. Best $5 you'll ever spend...after a cold draft that is.

I need to call DirecTV and find out if the new Tivo receiver has an RF remote. I use the same reveiver for 2 TVs and therefore the need for the RF remote.

I have direcTV. I don't have TIVO but that's about to change. What's RF? I'm

tonight and getting excited about the season starting. I was thinking I had to spend $99 bucks for the TIVO. I can get it by trading in my receiver and paying just $5 a month?

I am with you on that, tsaler. I have DirecTv, but don't understand all that tivo talk. If there is anway any of you that have tivo can send your saved digital recordings of te games, you have one interested party to send them to. I'll try to tape it, but my vcr is a piece of crap, so my quality will be low if I can even get it to record.
I hope everyone is as excited as I am.

You have to buy the TIVO/DirecTV receiver which is $99. That will replace the one you have now - but is also Dolby Digital 5.1 if you have the audio system to make that rock.
RF stands for Radio Frequency - different from the standard infrared remote in that it uses RFs to activate the receiver. You can go through walls, etc - don't have to have the line of sight you need with infrared. Hence the TVs in separate rooms. Just need two RF remotes and one RF receiver.
That's as techie as I can get.

My TIVO was recently fried by a lightening strike. I got it replaced with a "refurbished" TIVO for $49 through DirectTV. It looks and works fine. TIVO is awesome. It is well worth to cost, you will not regret getting it.
