Hey Guys...right now, as I sit I have Keyshawn and Joey Galloway as my two recievers on the bench, I'm looking to drop these two and pick up some guys that are going to have break out years. I would say Darnierian or Jacobs, but I can't pick up both and waist two roster spots when realisticly only one will have have bustout year. I was thinking maybe Justin Gage from Chicago, what do you all think?? Give me some ideas here

I would suggest Kelley Washington from Cincinnati and, if you can get him, Charles Rogers from Detroit.

jerry porter of oakland was hurt for half the year last year, and should have a decent year under norval. if he's available.

I like Rogers as well.

I think Mccants is definitely a better pick than Jacobs... Mccants had 6 td's last year and there's not really any reason to believe he'll get less looks or opportunities in 2004.

Peerless Price seems to be falling in a lot of pools because of a sub par year last year... he could rebound nicely.

Andre johnson is another promising young player in Houston though he usually goes earlier having put up nearly 1000 yards in his rookie season (976).

Ashley Lelie came on strong for the Broncos at the end of last year.

It's hard to give you advice without knowing who's there and who's not.

Keep Keyshawn and look for someone to replace Galloway. Don't forget the K.C. WR.

A couple of things I have read show stats regarding receivers and there maturity in the NFL. It looks like a receiver starts to break out in their third year (a lot of the time). So if you are looking at a possible sleeper, you may want to pick up a receiver in their third year, i.e. Javon Walker, Donte Stallworth, Josh Reed, David Givens, Ashley Lelie. Just a suggestion, like Boss wrote, without knowing who is available, it is hard to say.

Boy, if it weren't a fantasy league...MeShawn and Jokey would have some things to talk about while they're ridin' the pine !!

Marcus Robinson in Minnesota should have a good year with Moss drawing all the double coverage. Ferguson in Green Bay is also a good pick. It's way too hard to tell right now because nobody's roster is set.

Strangely enough, Ferguson is #1 on their depth chart right now at WR. Walker is #2 (and closing fast), and they've shifted Driver down to #3. Very intriguing if you ask me.

Jacobs is the guy I'd take between the two!!

the best thing to to is watch the waiver wire closely for a rookie or a unknown reciever to have a breakout year like anquin boldin. Every year there is a couple of unknowns who have breakout years.

I think it's just a result of a lot of hype about Jacobs' potential. He's faster than McCants, I believe. I think Jacobs is just thought of as a fast, tall receiver in the mold of a Randy Moss. That kind of receiver will always get some sort of credit even if he doesn't perform simply because he is such an impressive athlete.

jacobs is faster than mccants. but beacuse of the recieving corp here, i don't think jacobs will get the playing time DM will. moss is 4 inches taller, and a way more phenominal athelete than jacobs. after all, how many UF wideouts pan out?

Well, personally, I would probably play Thrash at #3. He seems to be a better slot receiver than anything else... well, aside from a kick returner. He clearly stinks as a top-two receiver (see: Philadelphia the past two years), but he is alright in the slot. Oh well, he is also old, so I wouldn't be surprised to see McCants #4, Jacobs #3, and Thrash #5. There's something about Jacobs that just seems to make people believe he'd do well. Even I can't explain what it is, and I suffer from it.

arrgh. jacobs was a dissapointment last year. not that it was his fault, but he just didn't deliver. could he be great, yes. will he, only time is to tell. lets put it this way, i think he'll land in front of cliff russell on the depth chart. (which won't be hard for him to do)

Sometimes I wonder whether or not I could land in front of Cliff Russell on the depth chart. That really isn't saying much, no.

Well for one he had a fantastic college career. Another thing that makes people think he will do well is the praise that Gibbs gave him after the first minicamp.

I'd keep both Keyshawn and Joey; I think Galloway will wake up and put up some good numbers this year, and you'll be able to trade Keyshawn to some Puke who will overpay...
