What exactly is the "NFL Network"? Is it a 'DirecTV only' option? I have Dish Network and I don't see this as one of my options. Also, is the NFL Network a similar package as NFL Sunday Ticket? In that I mean, can you watch NFL games?

The NFL Network is only on DirecTV. It is part of the basic programming package, and starting this year the entire preseaon schedual will be on it.
During the season they replay the game of the week in HD and without all of the commercial breaks.
Truly a beautiful thing.

On the plus side of DishNet you now get Sirius music channels for free. They start at 6000, I think.

I've been thinking about switching to DirecTV for a while now, mainly for the NFL Sunday Ticket package. Knowing now that I could also be watching the NFL Network, I definitely think it's time to make the switch.

Man I need to get direct TV. There is so much tat you miss out on. Like the Nfl network and sunday ticket. Not to mention I heaard you get free PPVs.
I love wrestling. So those would be cool.

DirecTV is offering special promotions that can get you free equipment in exchange for a year contract. I have been on DirecTv for 3 years now and have no intention of going back to cable beacuse DTV reupped with the NFL for an exclusive 5 year deal on Sunday Ticket, and we now have all of our local channels as well!

sunday ticket dosen't carry pre season, thats sold out to the highest bidder in the local markets. and the nfl network will only show recorded preseason games.

it's tonite at 7 for those of you who want to tune in and watch lavar. lavar is in LA for the "bet awards" (ooo, isn't that special, bet sucks as bad as mtv). he is supposed to interview bad boi from outkast on nfl total access.
what this has to do with football, is totally beyond me. but i guess i'll watch anyway, as i lay dying for some news this time of year.

least i had the "boi" right.
still has nothing to do with football, unless wearing jerseys in your video's to impress 13 yr old girls is considered football.

ok, did anyone catch it? i thought it was a good show. lavar even had a shot on the red carpet with rick james bitch.

brain dawkins is on this week too, so there was some pretty good nfc east talks. tonite lavar will be on again, and he will interview "big" boi on tonites show.
and just for the record, i think lavar is a nerd. either that or the guys is nervous as hell in front of a camera. you can tell he's trying to be "cool" with everything he says. i've seen him on a couple shows, and each time he acts if he's trying to impress the audience. i'm sure he's a different guy off camera, but on it, he's definantly trying to impress somebody.

Now why would he have to wear a jersey in his video to impress a 13 year old girl. I just didnt get that comment

the point was IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOTBALL! you hear what you want to hear. and please keep the thread on topic...."lavar on total access", not big boi and his groupies. thanks.

Well Big Boi is hip hop and hip hop is a big ENGINE for football. I guess trying to get the fan base of young kids , and especially teenage girls is important to the NFL. Not to mention that Lavar is a fan of Outkast music.

like i said before. i think lavar is a nerd and is just trying to be cool. you can see it in his segment on the show. the hip hop culture as a whole, "just wants to be cool". but like i said, i still don't get how lavar interviewing big boi on total access has a damn thing to do with football. i guess everyone is starved for content this time of year.

Hailskin its called marketing, it helps drives the product which in this case is NFL. Hip Hop music has a big influence on a huge market that have disposable income. See its important to reach the younger generation and have them think you product is hip and cool. GOT IT

thats nice, but maketing has nothing to do with football either, maybe it's image, but not the game. as stated before, nfl total access must be short on content this time of year. lavar interviewing big boi on total access about the bet awards has NOTHING to do with football.

What do you mean by that?
