Los Angeles Redskins?

JUST FOR FUN

In 2008 the NFL plans to have a team in Los Angeles.

Even thought it would be a dream come true for me & maybe for Redskin fans in Southern California i still would hate to see the Redskins leave the DC area. Plus we all know this would never happen.

With that said, how would you guys in the Eeast coast or West coast feel if Danny boy decided to pack up the skins and move them to Los Angeles?

I am curious to hear your answers/comments.

Remember, JUST FOR FUN.

Come on, man! Don't do that to me! I would flip! I wouldn't know what to do without the Redskins within driving distance from where I live. I would HATE it if the Redskins EVER moved a far distance away.

I grew up in and around DC and even thinking about it just for fun makes my stomach churn. If this were to ever happen, hypothetically speaking, Jack Kent Cooke would of done it, he owned the Lakers so had connections to LA. Danny Boy, while I'm not the biggest fan of him most of the time, is a DC native and wouldn't entertain the idea. This fan base is too ingrained and too lucrative for him to even think about it.

The idea of it, even though it would never happen, isn't very fun for me to think about.

that would be the worst idea ever. why would snyder want to move the most profitable orginization in all four major sports. the skins are worth over 100 million dollars more than the next team.

Sorry Jake, with a team apparently coming to L.A. I just started thinking about how great it would be, and how horrible it would as well.

That would probably be on the same level as the Dodgers leaving Brooklyn and moving to LA. This would be bigger than the Browns leaving Cleveland. The Brookly Dodger fans never forgave them. Sure, LA has fans, but I know many people who never forgave them.

Looking at it like this, it wouldn't be such a bad thing. The dodgers are really loved here in Los Angeles and I'm sure the Dodgers love Los Angeles. Look at the Lakers, moved here as well & look how that turned out. Anyway it won't happen & i'm glad it won't happen.

I vote that this is the worst post of the year!

This guy wasted his finger muscles.

The WASHINGTON Redskins are the richest team in the NFL, are in a top 3 market, and have the largest ticket waiting list in the league...along with the largest stadium in the NFL.

I suggest you take your fantasy to the Indy Colts fan site since they are the front runners to relocate to LA.

Maybe you should ask Al Davis if he thinks it's a good idea to move to LA!

Al Davis is crazy, I'm glad he to his Choakland Raiders away from Los Angeles, I rather have no team in Los Angeles. I heard he was thinking of bringing them back. ](*,) hope it's not true.

6 months ago I would have flipped out, because I lived in Montgomery County. But now that I live in Connecticut, I guess I wouldn't care that much. I'd feel bad for all my boys back home who couldn't go to games anymore, though.

Snyder is a life-long Redskin fan, and he's from the area.

Not only that, but Los Angeles has consistently proven it can't support a football team. Not only have they lost the Rams and Raiders, but every non-NFL team that goes there fails miserably. The Los Angeles Express and the Los Angeles Xtreme were both either at or near the bottom in the standings charts.

Moving the Redskins to Los Angeles would not make sense in terms of Snyder as a fan, but also in terms of Snyder as a businessman.

It would never happen...

SSIII thank you for your insight, but we all know it would never happen, the question was "How would you feel if it did?"

The world has never seen the ferocious terrorism that would surface should any such move be seriously contemplated.

I would feel really bad.

Now, here is a question skinfaninla20 can ponder. It has almost the same revelence as this thread.

"How would you feel if it started to rain and your car windows were down and your shoes were tied together"?

My bad.

I would be crushed. I can't even begin to imagine how awful that would be.

However, I wonder why football is planning to move a team to LA. Obviously they might be able do better than say, Indianapolis or San Diego, but for a city that has failed so consistently at maintaining a franchise to be given another chance is a bit baffling.

Of course, this is from the same guy who wants baseball in D.C....

L.A. is much too politically correct to have a team named the Redskins...they would have to rename the team. Some suggestions:

L.A. Flamers, L.A. Bloods, L.A. Crips, L.A. (Rodney) Kings, L.A. Jurors (in honor of them letting the guiltiest man in America -- O.J. --off the hook), L.A. Juice (see my previous comment), L.A. CHiPs (they could wear police-like uni's), L.A. Riots, and L.A. (insert your L.A. Stereotype here). Any other suggestions?

No worries...great minds think alike...the L.A. Fake Double D's is an instant classic, nice job '74. They could have one boob on each side of their helmet.
