The O's, entering last night's new series against the Yanks, were riding high on their one game win streak after losing 7 straight. The Yanks, as expected, clobbered the O's last night 10-4 but the O's returned the favor. Tonight, the O's have started another one game win streak by defeating the Yanks 13-2.
Grimsley and Newhan really stepped up tonight. Grimsley came into the game in the 6th inning with the bases loaded with no outs with a 7-2 lead. He strikes out Reuben Sierra and Tony Clark and forces Miguel Cairo to ground out. He then gets all three batters to ground out in the 7th and doesn't pitch the rest of the game. NO HITS OR WALKS allowed by Grimsley!
Newhan started out 4-4 and struck out in his 5th at bat. He ended the game 4-5 w/ 3 RBI's.
