fins fans think....

....that ogunleye is easily replaceable. or at least, thats what i gather from dropping in on a few other boards. most fins fans think you could plug anybody in opposite jason taylor and have a winner. i'm not so sure about that. but i'm no expert.
i don't know how i feel about this whole thing. i really don't want to lose another pick, but if it came down to it, and we did give up a first, i'd at least hope AO would live up to past performances. it would totally suck if we got him and he was indeed a product of the system in miami. i thought he had some pretty good moves last year though. i mean our entire defensive line of this past season didn't even have 15 sacks for the year. he would have to be an upgrade. as long as he is good enough to demand doubles, hes gotta be an improvment over what we've got. wonder if he can play RE.

hs666- I am in total agreement with what you just posted. He would be a definite upgrade!!! If he can live up to his own expectations(and I say that because he's willing to sit out half the season to get what he thinks he deserves). But, if he can do that..... Almost makes you drool, doesn't it? But like you also said, don't give up the pick. I'm tired of not having any draft picks and we haven't even signed all the ones we've already got going into camp. But man!!!! Just think of the confusion on the oposing teams offense w/ an end like that out there and those linebackers sitting back growling at them!!!
I'm so confused!!!! LOL

It seems to me that they are angry with Ogunleye like we were with Champ.

AO is also one of the more vocal players in the locker room... from the comments I have heard from him... he seems like he has a head on his shoulders... he is a young fiery player... but i honestly think we can't afford him...
I don't think the Dolphins will take another Redskin receiver after being burned by Derrius Thompson... they hate him down here....

If we do get him the coaching staff is going to know what they are getting and have to watch alot of tape on him. I dont think they would give up so much to get someone average.

WE don't Want to give up O-gun but he has been quite a pain this off season and I feel we have two very capable replacements in David Bowens, and Jay Williams. I don't hink we would trade him to Washington for a draft pick because Jacksonville is offering the same trade. And we all know the skins will be a hell of a lot better than Jacksonville. We will trade him for Ramsey and give ya'll fedlier in the process. Rick Speilman always wanted Ramsey from the beginning. I think Ramsey is going to be a top QB in the League someday. If you ask me I think Joe Gibbs is a little Senile(spelling) for not starting Ramsey. For some unknown reason you gave 34 year old Mark Brunell around 7 million a year? Why? I think giving up Ramsey is the only way you will see O-gun. We don't even need Rod Gardner, he won't be of value to us.

There isn't no way we will give up Ramsey for Ogun. Even if that trade were to happen you guys would owe us your number 1 with Ogun. Ramsey is just that good.
Thats my two cents.

I know Ramsey is that Good! But a lot of people don't and it seems like Joe Gibbs doesn't either.

First off, let me say that I'm not here to start crap. Just interested in what 'Skins fans were thinking about the trade scenario.
Personally, I don't think we have someone who could step in for OGun. He's not a product of the system, but definately benefits from it. It's really all about choice. If we choose the pay him the money he wants, we won't be able to afford Chambers or McMichael next year. Our FO won't let that happen. We choose Chambers.
Secondly, if JG would ever lose his mind and offer up Ramsey plus a punch in the face for Ogun, we'd jump on it in a minute. Won't happen though. I think we've seen the best offer. Gardner and your first. Good deal in my eyes. You get a pro-bowl DE, we get a possession receiver who can keep the chains moving.
By the way, Derrius Thompson isn't hated per say. We just expected more, and he's already aknowledged that fact. He's been working harder this year on the play book and will likely be our number 3. Thoughts, comments?

The first thing Joe Gibbs said about the team when taking over is that he wanted to capable starters at quarterback. With Brunell and Ramsey in the mix he now has two starters at quarterback. Joe Gibbs knows how good Ramsey is and he also knows how good Brunell is. Its just a question of whose better that is going to start. It is gonna be fun watching those two battle it out in the preseason this year. Its gonna be ruthless!!!!!!

Trust me, Brunell is going to be worth every penny. Just look at his completion percentage and quarterback rating. He may not throw for 4000 yards every year, but that's to be expected from a team that has Fred Taylor. Brunell is a stud, and one of the best of his generation.
Gibbs sees the talent and potential in Ramsey, he just felt he couldn't pass up the opportunity he had in Brunell.
If we would even entertain the possibility of trading Ramsey, he would have been gone by now.
I'm a little suprised you don't think the Dolphins don't need Gardner. Chambers is a stud, but Boston is a question mark, and Gardner would definetly be an upgrade in the slot for you guys.
I really like Gardner, and I'd hate to seem him go. I don't think this deal happens unless the Dolphins get really desperate and Jacksonville backs out...

Welcome to the site taylor!!!!!!
I don't like the Gardner and the first for Ogun. I think that is offering to much. I wouldn't mind giving up the 3rd pick and Gardner, but the first and Gardner sounds a bit much to me.
Derrius Thompson looked good under Spurrier's system. Any player that can look good under his system should look great in any other system. So I think Thompson will come around this year for you guys.
