Should the Redksins give up our 1st round draft pick to fill it with Ogunleye?

Washington Times 6/22: http://washingtontimes.com/sports/20040 ... -8605r.htm

"A league source said yesterday Washington offered a first-round pick to Miami for Ogunleye, who is mired in a contract dispute and is threatening to skip the first half of the season. The source said the Dolphins rebuffed Washington but might change their minds as the regular season approaches."

I voted no, but hey... if it's gonna be the last pick in the 1st round, then why not? :)

We cant afford to keep doing this. The draft allows for cheaper talent. Although there may not be a DE of the caliber of Ogunleye in next years draft the guy will also not be demanding a 12 - 16 million dollar signing bonus. The draft pick doesnt bother me as much as Ogunleyes cap figure although they are two in the same.

Even though it was 60-40, no to yes, it seems that only the no people are posting. Well, here's another no person. I don't like trading away all our picks. If we give up another pick for another high priced player, who are we going to lose in the coming years to pay for it? Samuels? Smoot? My favorite players are the guys we drafted. As much as I like Coles, he's still way down on my list, and so too would be Ogunleye. Keep the picks, and let somebody else pay for A.O.

No. We NEED our picks for our future. I'm all for getting him but trade Gardner or somebody else. If necessary, trade a pick in the 2006 draft. But we have to be careful. I won't be crying my eyes out if we lose out on him.

I think our team has developed some really good chemistry over the past 6 months. And if Gregg Williams and Greg Blache are comfortable with the lin we have, then I am, too. We also need to save money for signing Wilson, Cooley, and Taylor.
