I can't tell you how bad it is to have most of your fantasy QBs toward the bottom of that list ::grin::

... and how nice it is to see a Redskin atop any offensive chart.

350 yards two weeks in a row... ain't looking like no sophomore jinx here.

Touch wood.

Unfortunately, Collins' name is right under Patrick's.

it'll be interesting to look back on this at year-end and see how it shakes out

P Ram will stay up there with LC and eventually Jacobs will catch up. I like DM, but Jacobs speed is better and he also can catch the ball very well. Gardner will be better for both Coles and Jacobs being on the field.

Yep - and I hope it stays there ::grin::

I can relate to what you are feeling here.

One thing - Fox had an interesting stat on the Giants offense - they had gone from near worst to near best in 3-4 years together... I hope Dan and the Fans have the patience to let our team stay together with some minor changes. Can you imagine Ramsey, Coles, Canidate, Betts, Jacobs, McCants, Gardner etc. all together after 3 years of working together? Our line has mostly longer contracts too - woo hoo!

Brings tears to my eyes!

Post report:

The Redskins expect rookie wide receiver Taylor Jacobs to play against the Patriots, sources said. Jacobs said he is scheduled to undergo tests today. He has been sidelined since suffering a bruised pancreas late in the Redskins' final preseason game.

Who knows? he hasn't played a down yet. Cliff Russell looked great early in camp, where's he at now?

McCants was amazing Sunday (other than the penalty). I'd be very surprised to see Jacobs have a btter game than that this season.

I hope he does. But I think it's gonna take him a few weeks to even get back into the swing. And if McCants keeps playing the way he did against the giants, Jacobs might have trouble getting SOS to even give him much of a chance to prove himself.

Oh nevermind... he's a Gator.

Still, Spurrier won't mess with the line-up if it's clicking, so Jacobs will have to make some big plays on limited touches to get back into the offense's plans.

Russell was showing his problems with catching and route running early which Jacobs wasn't in preseason, remember?

Spurrier also likes speed - although, as you say he likes people who catch tough catches and save his QB.

Think it might be Coles, Jacobs, McCants as the starting three if Rod keeps dropping 'em? I remember everyone arguing about McCants being the replacement for Gardner if he goes down, and dropping - what - 4-5 balls should count as going down ::grin::

McCants will be hard to set aside

don't then. run more 4 wideout sets. if jacobs does what we hope, there are maybe 2 defenses in the league that would pose a problem for us then.....just a thought.

but we need the pass protection of a tight end since our backs can't block or pick up blitzes....that may work occassionally however

then there is another target for a three step drop... it would almost force a nickle package...

Nope, I never witnessed that. I heard later into camp as he lost some confidence that might have happened... but for the first week, he was the most noticeable receiver on the field... BAR NONE. Cliff didn't drop anything... he just blew by everyone like they were standing still.

Spurrier also likes speed

Jacobs is fast, but Russell is all-world speed... it ain't helping him any.

I don't think so myself. Let's not forget that while Gardner had a bad game Sunday, he caught 9 balls for 118 yards the week before. I think Coles, Gardner and McCants is our best bet.

Jacobs is gonna need a few good games under his belt to crack the top 3, and I think it's McCants job to lose until someone really shows themself to be MORE worthy of the touches. What's not to love about a #3 guy who doesn't do anything but make tough catches in traffic. Jacobs may be able to spread the field a little more, but Ramsey's starting to realize that Darnerian will go up and grab just about anything near him... QB's kind of like that, and tend to remember that when they're looking for an outlet.
