"As they say in Washington, in Gibbs we trust."

Gibbs of course, On the path Coughlin is going he will end up with a mutiny on his hands.

Here is the headlines in about a year or 2.

What is he smoking? I'll donate my left nut to science if the Giants make the playoffs in 2004.

There are three teams in the NFC East with good talent. the gints are not one of them. I dont care who the coach is - they are not going to win with that offensive line.

The skins have some talent - and as everyone here knows that talent was misused last year. Gibbs is walking into a situation that is taylor made for him to turn things around and look like a hero. The gints have a situation where coughlin is being set up to fail.

I might have said this before but I would like ramsey to start 14 games next year - I would like to see Brunell start the two gints games. "muted praise"? Brunell - like most ex jags - couldnt stand coughlin.

Peter King is too much of a "homer" to really have any business writing a sports column for a national publication. I understand that writers, like the rest of us, have a favorite team, but if your JOB is to be impartial and to provide analysis of a team, then you need to leave your personal bias at home... funny, for someone with such obvious admiration for Tom Coughlin's work ethic and attitude, PK seems to have been very unprofessional, and his personal bias against the 'Skins has shown up once again. That having been said, I could care less about SI, as long as they don't ask any of the 'Skins players or coaches to appear on the cover of the magazine!

This HAS to be one of those "just to see who gets upset" comments, huh?

Gibbs and Coughlin are not in the same category, unless you consider age.

GIbbs will have the Skins running like a well-oiled machine, and won't stand for "mutinous" players. Good try, though.

This article is months old.

I'm sure they had to find someone to support the Coughlin side. Of course, they call the village idiot.

Anyone who would say Coughlin over Gibbs given the talent at hand is exactly that....an idiot.

Well Coughlin is already having players going to the Union crying about him being too tough. Yesterday during Mini Camp Warner and Manning combined threw over 10 interceptions. As soon as they start losing the NY media will be all over Couglin. Then guys like Shockey will turn on him even more.

Gibbs. Simply because Coughlin may know Brunell and his ways, but Brunell knows Coughlin and his entire offense.
Guess who we got holding the clipboard, Coach Coughlin ?
Yessir, it's your old Field General, gone to the other side.
