Wouldn't it be nice

If Kenny Watson came back? I would gladly say goodbye to Trung Canidate, Ladell Betts, and John Simon in favor of having Portis, McCullough, Watson, and Cartwright.

Yeah that would be a good thing...I dont know why they let him (Kenny Watson) go any way. He was better than Canidate and Betts. IMO

They already have good backs. They re-signed Rudi Johnson, drafted Chris Perry, and they allocated Skip Hicks, who is doing really well in NFL Europe.

We have no need to bring Watson back! We have Portis, Candidate- who should and probably will be released, Betts- who is pretty solid, and Chad Morton as our 3 string RB.

In that same breath, wouldn't it be nice to have Stephen Davis back ? Wouldn't it be nice to have Bailey back ? Barber ? Kalu ? "Neon" Deion Sanders ? (Sorry, SFIR. Just messin' with you.

)
Yes, it would be nice. Football is a business, though, and you make decisions every day that either make you look like genius or prove you the village idiot.
When it came down to Betts and Watson, they kept Betts. Right or wrong ? Doesn't matter now.
It's a new regime, and a new era. The most any one player will be asked to do in the new system is "Do your job". Those who can't will be released. Those who can will be asked if they can do their job, and put the team first.
Again, those who can will and the others will be cut.

It was always a toss up with me about Betts or Watson. But... Watson was cut and Betts is still here. IMOP Portis, Betts and Cartwright are a backfield tandum to deal with. Portis will end up carrying the load for the most part anyway. Throw in a couple more bruisers in behind him to keep the clock moving and keep the defensive backfield moving, you're talking tired D's!!!!!!

TC....
I know your post was in jest. But I found some truth to what you said. If memory serves me correct we had these group of players all at once. If we would have had some decent coaching this past decade or so would have been a lot more satisfying.

I'd love to have KW back competition for spots make better players and Watson was a good special teams player.
