I just heard on a TV show called I,Max. (Run by the former host of Around the Horn Max Kellerman,Michael Holley and the Former diembodied voice Mr. Wolfe)
That Eddie George might be released. And Dallas is a possible place where he could end up.

he can go to dallas.... I ain't
scurd
He's no where near what he use to be.... and he's gonna comade some dollars where ever he goes.... so why not let him eat up Dallas's wallet

I'm worried about it, too.

This rumor's been around for a while. Max is always slow on reporting things. Even when he was on ESPN. If Dallas was smart, they'd sign George. He's alot better than Cason, Bickerstaff, and Jones. With the way the past few seasons have gone for Eddie, he probably won't force a team to break the bank.

Even though he has diminished he's still an average RB at worst. Don't sleep on him.

I heard the Eagles were interested in him. I believe Eddie is from Philly so he may want to go back to his home town. I don't want to see him go to either Dallas or Philly, but it's not like he's Portis

I have respect for George and I hope he stays with the Titans. It would suck if he did end up in the NFC east but I won't lose sleep over it.

I actually heard that the raiders were very interested in him. I think I saw it on espn.com. I don't know why they would be interested in old, fading players

, but go figure

He is going to Oakland from what I heard.

Why would Oakland need another RB? They just got Hambrick last week.

I know George didn't do much for the Titans last season, but you'd have to think he would be an upgrade at the position for Dallas. I still think Eddie George is a better RB than anybody the Giants or the Eagles have. Fortunately he's nowhere near Portis!

not necessarily, although Tiki has a severe case of fumbleitis, at this point in time he is a more effective back then Eddie George

Barely over 3 yrd ave per rush the last 3 years. Only THREE rushes over 20 years the last TWO years combined. His wheels are pretty rusty but he still has a lot of heart.
I would not sweat him. Dillon would have been a MUCH more scary pick up in my mind. He's averaged 4.0 per carry the last 3 yrs & hit 1300 2 of the last 3....and that was with the Bungles!

Dallas can go ahead and sign George! Who cares! George BLOWS! He is getting worse and worse every year and he isnt getting any younger. He is defintely over the hill and injury prone.

I've always liked Eddie George. He's a good guy and played high school/junior college ball in Virginia (Fork Union Military Academy). I really hope he doesn't go to the Cowboys or Eagles because I'd hate to have to root against him...

I'd hate to see him come to Philly. We're pretty tight on RB roster spots as it is, and I'd like to see Reno Mahe stick around for kickoff returns this season.

Eddie George is a true-blue Titan. I believe that his heart is with the Titans.
Anyplace else, and I think you'd get an ice-cold Ed Light for your ticket purchase.
Kinda like Emmitt in Arizona.
He'll go to the highest bidder, or the team he thinks has the best chance to feature him and go to the Big Game.
Either way, if that particular team takes a mid-season dump, you can't expect to see Eddie George look past a nagging injury and go balls out like he did in Tennessee. There's no love, no tradition. He'd be a hired gun.
Kinda like Deion.
Plus, he's clearly seen better days. He gets Pro Bowl mentions and selections based on reputation alone. Hasn't lived up to his own standards lately.
Kinda like Bruuuuce.
So, my take ? Good luck, Eddie. Get your money. You're so banged up you can pretty much assume you'll never pick up your grandchildren without a pantload of pain. Make 'em pay, and warm the bench. This is your personalized prescription, from Dr. West.

as much as people may think he sucks, he made it to 10,000 yards without ever missing a game, so no matter what he still deserves some respect

I agree, TC. In fact, if Spurrier was still around you'd better believe that the Clinton trade never would have happened, and that the news would be filled with headlines like "Redskins pursuing George"
Just my speculation, but how far off can it really be? Can anyone else imagine a world where we were going after him? I certainly can.

Well, I certainly don't think that Eddie George "sucks". I think when the guys write that, they're missing the bigger picture. He was a warrior for his team. Played while hurt (I seem to recall a dislocated shoulder, but that might've been Emmitt) and almost always came through for his team.
I do firmly believe though, that he is a born Titan. Anything after that will be about getting paid or getting a chance for the ring.
And, why not ? He certainly deserves either/or.
