Something I've always wanted to do

I just got home from Wal-Mart in Carrollton, Tx. As I exited the Wal-Mart, I noticed a crowd to my right. I glanced over to see what was going on, and there was Michael Irvin. I was sporting my thehogs.net t-shirt and redskins cap, and I thought about snorting up the biggest loogey in loogey history, but I didn't want to hit an innocent by-stander. I decided to just keep walking when I heard, "Hey Redskin, you suck!!". I turned and saw Michael pointing at me, and laughing. My instincts kicked in, I said "Eat ____, crackhead!", and shot him the finger. Never have I felt so good about being so bad. I talk trash constantly with the Cowboy fans in the area, and keep it fun most of the time, but I considered that a personal attack, so I retaliated. I hate sinking to the level that I did this evening, but it was worth it.

When he said.... "Hey Redskin, you suck!!" you should have retaliated with... "Hey Michael, you snort!!" and smiled :D

Then you really could have gotten under his skin..... if we could only turn back time :(

Way to go, I think we would all like to do that!

Thats awesome!!! Your response could have been "Analyze this!", followed by the middle finger, or "Catch this!", then spitting at him. That would have been hilarious.

Have you seen Michael Irvin on TV? I think he is on FOX and he is one of the WORST analysts I have ever seen. He doesn't actually analyze, he just repeats what is obvious or what other people say.

No...tx_skins_fan, that was the exact reply you should have used. Although some may argue that you should have shown more dignity by not replying to crack-boy's comment in kind, I felt that your response was witty, generous (because you were offering him some food), and honest...because he was/is/always will be....a crackhead.

Wow I cannot believe what a jerk he is! I would have probably gone off. LOL I hate when people do crap like that to just push buttons. Good for you though. He deserved every part of that! That is a story to tell your little grandkid skin's fans about!

That is the best one I've heard so far!!! I just can't wait until this season when he has to report on the Redskins. With Coach Gibbs and Coach Bugel back he will have to start saying pro Redskin remarks!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait for that to happen!!!

Thats crazy, I dont know how I would have reacted if I Saw Michael Irvin and then he dissed my Skins! I would have lost my mind! I would have wanted to punch Irvin in the face for every Skins fan! You should have told Michael Irvin that the Redskins are going to beat the *sh$t* out of the Cowboys this year!

Irvin...still about 4 years old! Good reply.

Most professional athletes are above Irvion's drivel.

For a contrast, my son, a devoted Redskin fan who grew up in exile, once had a job delivering pizzas in Montclair, NJ. Yes, he delivered once to Yogi Berra, and yes, to get to Yogi's house, "when you come to the fork in the road, take it". Yogi lives down a road that splits at a big tree, makes a circle, and meets up again. Whichever way you go at the fork, you get to Yogi's house.

Yogi is truly humble, sweet, gentle man.

He also delivered once to Scott Niedermeir (sp) of the Devils, who looked at Dan's "Pivonka" jersey, and said, "Well, your team beat us pretty bad last week, but we'll do better..."

And, finally, for football, Dan says that Michael Strahan is one of the nicest people in town. He has been active in town issues, and people tried to get him to run for town council this year.

So...compare Irvin, a low-life, to Strahan, a decent guy and solid citizen.

Man, that's firggin awesome!

My Irvin story goes like this:
I went to the Dallas game at FedEx Field in 2001. I brought my DC101 "Dallas Sucks" sign with me. I went down to the Dallas sideline with all of my Redskins stuff on. I looked around and saw Irvin in his stupid fur coat. I called his name "Mr. Irvin! Mr. Irvin!" He looks at me like he MAY (probably not) sign an autograph for me. I ask him "Can you autograph my 'Dallas Sucks' sign, please?!" He turns away with a stern look on his face.

My story with Irvin is good but NO ONE can beat tx_skins_fan's encounter! He said what we've all wanted to say to Irvin for years! That was so awesome! You rule TSF!

LOL this thread was funny, first of all VPAR2 not very bright are you. I guess you dont watch much football or pre or post game shows. Sounds like you just discovered the game of football recently.

When they do say something i just hold up 5 fingers on one hand and 3 on the others, and laugh, but oh you guys cannt do that...LOL

gambit, if you are attempting to defend michael irvin's character or commentator abilities, you will find yourself alone. just because his wife is dumb (or desperate) enough to stay with him after he is found repeatedly in the presence of prostitutes and crackheads doesn't give him character. just because he can shout louder than chris berman doesn't make him a good commentator. in fact, i would say he is lacking in both categories.

we are all aware of dexter manley's problems. but we don't see him yelling at the camera on espn. and we don't see him strutting and proclaiming what a great guy he is. in fact, we do see him admitting that he has made mistakes, and hoping that he's learned his lesson. in that respect, that makes dexter much better person than irvin.

gambit, i'm not going there. like i said, get a life. if you want to cyberfight, maybe you should check out http://www.sportsline.com/messages/nfl
there are plenty of 13 yr olds who are on your level there, and you'd fit right in with the other puke bandwagoneers.

gambit... 'not very bright are you' is yet another insult directed at a post-er and not the post. I'm not warning you again... next time, you just will find yourself suspended... You have had more than ample time to learn the rules and don't seem to be able to... despite the fact that everyone but you is 'not very bright'.

As for Michael irvin... I don't need to say anything... anyone who sticks up for Michael irvin and his character has some serious internal demons that I couldn't possible hope to help with.

keep pointing to Dexter... he is one of our few malcontents... but you have some nerve mentioning the one that you can, when we can write pages on the Cowboys malcontents... Dexter had a drug problem... Dexter couldn't read... yeah we all know... but he didn't molest any 10 year olds like Rafael Septien or Lance Rentzen did he? nor did he just run a couple of people over and keep going like Goodrich did he? then here's the crowning glory of garbage... thomas Henderson... why have 3 malcontents when you can roll them all into one... the Cowboys can brag about how they had a guy who was arrested and charged with sexual assault and false imprisonment after exchanging crack for sex with two minors, one of whom was wheelchair-bound.

Another incident of pure class...

Hold up Joe bag on NO nuts, i dont think my response was actually defending Irvin. Did i say he was having marital, finacial, emotional problems so thats why he snorted coke. Hold up did i say his wife was frigid so thats why he was hanging with strippers. Hold up did i say Irvin was right for pointing and laughing. Hold up did i say Irvin was the best thing since Jimmy, Howie, Terry and JB. DID I , WELL DID I.........SO HOW IN THE BLUE BLAZEZ DID I DEFEND HIM.

Also Irvin admitted he made mistakes back then what was that around 93 or 94. So you want him to admit it every year. Ok Manley HAS to admit he has made mistakes, BECAUSE HE KEEPS MAKING THEM. So for you to say that Manley is a better person the Irvin shows that you are blinded fan of reality. Irvin got over his problems, while Manley keeps falling into the same traps and pitfalls of sickness.

Maybe you need to reread my post and understand that I was not responding to be serious but trying to be light hearted about the whole thread that Tx Skin Fan posted.

I'M OUT RACK ME......

seems like you're defending him right there. and please keep the personal attacks to a minimum, eh? not very becoming.
