Gibbs' NASCAR headache

For those of you who don't follow NASCAR, Gibbs' star driver Tony Stewart has been throwing some sort of 'I miss Daddy' tantrum this season. See the link below.

I'm hoping Coach Gibbs doesn't get sucked into this full time. Even if he does, I'm not worried. He's talented enough to handle all of it. And hopefully, his son will develop the Gibbs' touch now that the racing teams are his to run.

you have the right to remain silent -,anything you say can and will be misquoted and used against you.

joe gibbs will put nascar on the back burner come football season.

with this years new playoff system in nascar - specifically designed to compete with the nfl - it will be interesting to see how gibbs handles it. both of his drivers will be in the nascar 'race to the championship'.

i would be willing to bet that he had that in mind when he hired such an experienced coaching staff. at some point, he will have to be involved in nascar this fall. he owns the teams - can you imagine snyder not paying attention to the redskins if they were in the playoffs?

and, bro, nascar doesn't blow. you can't be much of a casual fan and enjoy it - there are way too many nuances. but it doesn't blow. now, badminton blows. espn pool blows. rodeo blows. the wnba blows. reality tv blows. and the cowboys, eagles, and giants blow.

mmmmm k. i said to each his own. i like drag racing, and follow it. (too bads gibbs got out of it) but, nascar still blows IMO. round and round we go. the wrecks are interesting, but the rest is like watchin paint dry. of course i'm a football junkie, so nothing else matters. is it time for training camp yet?

listen, i posted this because it's very relevant to our season. gibbs quit football - bagged even his tv gigs - to focus on nascar. and since he returned to the skins, his star is acting way out of line. if you can't see the relevance of that, and decided to say something ignorant about nascar, just stick to reading the posts about what ex-redskin third stringer signed with another team, or complain about who didn't give you an autograph.

if you want to be informed about your coach, and if you want to have an intelligent discussion about sports management - how will gibbs manage ownership and coaching - great. if you want to bash a sport without anything more than a tongue wagging insult, tell it to your wall and leave it off the board.

i must say, i really respect this board, but the responses here have been stunted.

ok its time this went to the lounge.
gibbs is the players coach. just like he was in the 80's with the skins, like he was in nascar, and will be again with us. if stewart isn't a team player with gibbs racing, his days will be numbered. just like a player who isn't exactly what gibbs considers a redskin, free agency is right around the corner. ya happy now?

and BTW just because somebody posts something negative about nascar dosen't make their comments "ignorant". its their opinion and they are very much entitled to it.

i apologize to anyone who was actually interested in this thread for straying it off topic. my bad. maybe i'll just tell my wall from now on.

PS. asscar still blows.

obviously, my nascar issues get under your skin. but since i am so unproffesional and boring, maybe you should just ignore my posts. and you're not "black balled", but if someone elses opinion bothers you that much, good riddance.
