Anyway, check this out. Plenty to speculate on for the next 3 months. Kinda crazy, I dont remember there being so many open positions before.

QB - Ramsey / Brunell
RB Backup - Betts / Candidate / Morton / Cartwright / McCullough
TE - Rasby / Royal
H-Back - ey / Kozlowski / Sellers
Center - Raymer / Friedman
L DTackle - Noble / Haley / Salave`a / Butz
DE - Wynn / Daniels / Upshaw
Nickel - Bauman / Harris / Brown
3rd WR - McCants / Jacobs / Thrash
Safety - Ohalete / Bowen

How are we supposed to watch all of these different groups at the same time during practices this summer. TheHogs.net will need to assign peeps to different sections of the fields to keep tabs on all these "competitions".

We have a long way to go, there are a TON of teams going into camp with their starting rosters set. We'll need to catch up quick. Hopefully most of the starters will be pegged in by the end of next MINI-camp so the chemistry can start on Day 1 of TRAINING-camp.

Qb-Ramsey- Better arm, more accurate, and tougher. Srambling how cares. Theisman, Rypien, and Williams. Yeah those are real scrambelers.
Back up rb- Cartwright- Big, fast, tough.
TE- Rasby better blocker.
H-back- ey. really good potentail. Me personally I think great potential. I am a huge Chris ey fan
Center- Friedmen. Raymer is to injury prone to start.
De- Upshaw, I forgot about him but is suppose to be talented. Bruce Smith wined his way into the job even though it was clear Upshaw was better.
LDT- I would say Noble because he was suppose to start last year.
Nickel- The guy from the Colts. Don't know his name.
3rd WR- Easily Mcants he may be No.2.
Safety- Bowen. Stronger faster and better.

Scrambling I mean who not how. Sorry.

is it too early to vote for qb. i am a ramsey fan but brunell if he is in shape is a bad dude. i can see mark brunell as a super bowl mvp and i don't know if ramsey can do it.

you must be too young to remember Joey T. He was a very mobile quarterback. In fact, when he first came to the Skins from the CFL, he was stuck behind Sonny and Billy, and so he voluntered to return punts.

Theismann was very mobile, just not more mobile than L.T. unfortunately...

theisman was incredibly mobile and tough. rypien and williams did well in a time when big qb who could stand and deliver ala Dan Marino would excel. defenses don't let that happen anymore putting freaks at d-end with destruction in mind.
But don't knock Ramsey he can move just not known for it.
Still Brunell gets my vote

You are right, none of them are "scramblers", BUT they were mobile. Ramsey is a mobile QB. My definition of a mobile QB is one who can avoid a moderate rush. BUT Ramsey doesn't do it. Ramsey just stands there and gets hit. I don't know if it was the system or he has no pocket prescence but he isn't mobile when he needs to be. Yea his arm is a bazooka, he's bright, he can be a leader, he just can't feel the rush. I hope he can feel it this season because I like him. But according to last years perfomance we need Brunell back there until Patrick can feel a rush.

when five guys block 8 there is no pocket pressence heck there is no pocket 1 2 or 3 guys are running at you reaaly fast with no one to stop them and they are really intent on hurting you no patrick was very brave and did the best anyone could have in that situation my vote is for ramsey

I hate to say it, but I think a lot of people have the wrong ideas about Cartwright. He had more average games than good. To many people only remember him busting it in for a TD.

In his first three games, he had five attempts for two yards (I took away the 3 yards he lost at the Giants) and 1 TD. In Atlanta he ran three times for one yard and that TD.

Actually, one of his four TDs were made in his one carry game at New England.

At New England, Cartwright's TD should have been Trung Canidate's. Trung carried the ball four times in the row and pushed the ball 17 yards(4.4 Average against a SB Winning defense.). He then scampered for 30 yards (New average would have been 9.4.) before being hit by Poole and making his only fumble ALL season. So Spurrier pulled Trung out, let Betts run it once then let Cartwright get the glory of a (3 yard) TD.
Note: We run each play on a drive and score a TD. Spurrier should of remembered that.

I agree to a point. The blocking was horrible at the beggining, but it became 'acceptable" towards the end of the season and he was still doing the same things. He wouldn't sidestep to open a clear throwing lane or anything. He cannot feel the pass rush. Im not saying he's a bad QB, he's great. I feel he doesn't have a pocket prescence which is very important for a pocket QB. I watch other QB's feel a defender and step up or sidestep to avoid and Ramsey didn't seem to do that.

Yeah.... Rock is another one of those redskins people are so fond of due to his name (see Iffy)..... but really I like him for those third & ones and thats about it.... I'd have a hard time calling him big or fast though......

You all need to look at the Play-By-Play of the Patriots game on thed rive that Cartwright made a TD.

I disagree. I think Brunell is tough, he is just getting old. I love Ramsey and think that he is awesome, but come on you can not compare him to Brunell at this point in his career. And please don't mention him in the same breath as Theismann

Great post dude, I didn't realize all of that competition would be going on until now. Training camp can the preseason games should be alot of fun to watch this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
