Deion Sanders Leaving CBS' 'NFL Today'
Updated: Thursday, May. 13, 2004 - 1:58 PM

NEW YORK (AP) - Deion Sanders is leaving CBS' "NFL Today" after two seasons with the pregame show.

The outspoken Sanders, a seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback during a 12-year NFL career, joined the program as a contributor during the 2001 season. For the past two seasons he has been a studio analyst, along with Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason and Jim Nantz.

The only person to play in the World Series and the Super Bowl, Sanders played in the NFL with Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas and Washington. He played baseball with the New York Yankees, Atlanta, Cincinnati and San Francisco

The only thing that would make this story better will be when Michael Irvin is off of the airwaves.

So is this Sanders taking a few more definitive steps to try and fulfill his (outspoken) dreams to become a coach?

At least we'll always know that Dan Snyder will never hire the guy ever again. Ever.

How 'bout Collinsworth with Irvin under one arm and TAFKAPT under the other taking a long walk off a short pier?

For some reason I'm able to tolerate Troy Aikman on the air.
I didn't think that would be possible. He's not that bad at all. And I must admit, I really enjoyed Dandy Don Meredith back in the day.

I don't know about Meredith...didn't care much for him, but Aikman is doing a great job I must admit.

I don't know why you guys like Aikman...He bashes the Redskins every chance he gets.

Last year the Dallas vs. Redskins game at Texas Stadium he couldn't stop bashing the Redskins. I personally think he's still upset on how a Redskin ended his career.

But I have to agree when there are other teams playing he does do a good job.

We deserved to be bashed the past two seasons.
