First, we were spared any more of watching him desecrate the burgundy and gold, and now, it appears we won't have to hear him flap his over-rated self-righeous gums, either! =D> \:D/ :celebrate:

---------------

NEW YORK (AP) -- Deion Sanders is leaving CBS' "NFL Today" after two seasons with the pregame show.

The outspoken Sanders, a seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback during a 12-year NFL career, joined the program as a contributor during the 2001 season. For the past two seasons he has been a studio analyst, along with Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason and Jim Nantz.

The only person to play in the World Series and the Super Bowl, Sanders played in the NFL with Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas and Washington. He played baseball with the New York Yankees, Atlanta, Cincinnati and San Francisco.

In fairness, he did raise the entertainment value of the otherwise lame CBS pre-game show. I rarely saw him, since the Skins play on FOX, anyhow. It would be interesting to see him end up on FOX. It may help him polish his game and analysis.....

and it may well give him enough football cred to take over the reins (sp?) of the Falcons once the Mora II experiment fails.

This is the best news I've heard in weeks. I sure hope Fox doesn't pick him up....I can't see it happening. If I never see or hear from Peion again, I'd be thrilled.

With the risk of appearing stupid, what does TAFKAPT stand for? I have an idea, but want some comfirmation.

It SHOULD be that something else. Artist works fine, but I was thinking Athlete.
