How many coaches in the NFL would go off the deep end if they did had a parking spot right next to the facilities and they pulled up a player was in their spot?
and Joe is giving players a chance to earn his every week
It's the little things that build a good team

I'm sure joe will have a decent spot regardless
But what a nice, simple, incentive for the players that offers nothing but a little prestige.
Ahhh yes, the little things is right.
No stone left unturned. Every detail meticulously scrutinized over.

Joe will have a good spot because nobody else will arrive as early as Joe does anyway. Your right Boss it's the little things.

Not to take anything away from Joe but doesn't he sleep there anyways? What does he need a parking spot for?

Joe has actually stated that he no longer has a cot in the office and doesn't sleep there any more...
... but he probably means USUALLY....

Yah, he is probably up all night working. He doesn’t give himself time to sleep. He probably figures that having a cot there might entice him too much to sleep.

Or, at least, he hasn't dragged the cot into the office YET. Remember, the season hasn't started yet. . .
It's just sick, man. Winning is back in DC

Don't you have to win first?
I mean you should have all the optimism in the world right now....but calling yourself a winner now,is premature.

don't get me wrong....You have every right to believe you will be winners...I think you will finish 9-7...but don't jinx it.

Well, I didn't call us "winners," I said that winning is back in DC. Next season we could go 7-9 or worse for all I know. However, the only way to consistently win in the NFL year after year--where talent abounds--is to separate yourself above others through
hard work. During his first tenure Gibbs wanted to win so bad that if it meant sleeping in the office to get a couple extra hours in, he would do it.
Putting your faith in an offensive system (like, oh, say, the Fun&Gun or the Greatest Show on Turf, etc.) can lead to disappointment as others adapt. But if your main formula for sucess is hard work and not a cliche like F&G, I don't see how you're going to consistently lose.
That is, of course, all in my opinion.

"Winning" is an attitude, and as such, is a learned behavior. Joe has begun the foundation work on a winning attitude. The first thing is, you have to like what you do for a living to be any good at it. Pure athleticism will only get you so far. (See Moss, R. for more detail.) Little things, like the parking space deal, can mean a lot to a bunch of competitive guys.
If it suits you better, Smizzy, we can easily amend that to "The winning attitude is back in DC."
