Trade chris x2, this is possible

My belief is that the act that kellen winslow is doing is just that an act, him and coach gibbs have plan, bear, let's say that kw2 makes extremely hard for the browns to sign him, because his dream was to play for the redskins, the browns are stuck between a rock and a hard place, it looks like they are going to lose their number one pick. During the the draft they was extremely excited about the possibly of drafting a left tackle robert gallery until oakland took him. The truth is this, the browns know and even those who hate kw2 know, if he was to sit out this year, like our beloved eli was planning to do, Kellen will still be a top ten pick next year. So with this knowledge the browns would like to get rid of him and get some value, I say we, the redskins should do this, trade chris samuels, which the browns will jump on and Chris

ey, very nice guy, for the rights of Kellen winslow 2 and the browns 2005 second round pick. I know we will will carry a great deal of the chris contract on the this year. But with the addition of kw2 on offense and taylor on defense, and our 1st rounder next year for a defense end, our future look extremely bright. So what do you think, this not a far reach, this is very possible. I hope you are rteading this Dan and sonny this can work.

You have got to be kidding me. Who will play LT this year? There is absolutely no way this trade will happen.

I wouldn't trade a player with Samuels attitude for one with K2's. I think that Gibbs character factor wouldn't allow him to either!

GoSkins...
Even though I think you're right that this deal will probably not ever happen but it's fun to think about what it would be like. After all we did draft two LT's in the 5th and 6th round this year. I highly doubt this will happen but i'd be interested to see how this would work out. I would definitely consider it, but would the Browns do this???

LT (for right handed QBs) is one of the most important positions on the team. Our 5th and 6th round picks couldn't come anywhere near Samuels in terms of playing that position.

You never know... after all we do have Joe Bugel mentoring our O-Line and we all know what he's done with late round picks in the past.... He turned them into the best O-Line in history, "The Hogs".

Come on now... why would you trade for K2 after he publicy bashed us and criticized Gibbs for making his decision? And remember when he came to visit the Skins a while back... and it took the team an hour to find him at his hotel, showed up out of shape, and was late to the meeting?
Chris

ey put up better stats than Winslow. And who would you replace Samuels with? A rookie? I don't think so!

This is the 10,000th Samuels trade discussion and every time the proponent of the trade fails to look closely at the cap impact of the trade.
We need Samuels more than we need K2 anyway.
Lets sign a DE after 6/1 and go play some ball.

I'd actually prefer a run stuffing DT, but otherwise I agree with you.

Jake I understand you love Chris Samuels and all but think about it, good LT's come along every now and then but KW2 comes along once in a blue moon (Sean Taylor is another one of those rare players). But if Samuels might get cut June 1st or next season or something why not try and get perhaps the NFL's best TE in KW? Sure he was pissed but he was pissed about NOT being a Redskin. If I was in KW2's shoes and I thought I was gonna get drafted by my favorite team and I didn't, I'd be pissed to. I'm glad we got Taylor over KW but getting Taylor and KW2 in the same draft is a dream come true. That would easily go down as one of the best drafts in NFL history...

I would not want KW2 on the team. He is going to be trouble for whatever club he plays for. Be it the crappy agents (Potsons)

, or the crappy attitude . Gibbs says it was not the agent issue that lead us to pass him over so it must be the "look at me my dad was a star" mentality KW2 has. To look a KW1 a class act, how has the apple fallen so far from the tree?

I'm sorry, a very good to great LT is more important than an unproven TE; especially with no available good LTs in the wings.

LT's are just as rare as good tight ends, if not even more scarce. We already have a tight end (6 as a matter of fact). Let me ask you this, what good would a "playmaking" tight end be if he wasn't going to be utilized a lot anyways? Most likely, K2 would whine and moan about not getting the ball enough and start trouble (what else is new?). And none of this has to do with my bias towards Chris.

Convince - what are you on? If it's an act, I don't want KW2 even more. We don't need him and Samuels will be back in the Pro Bowl better than we've seen him. That is just nutty

id take samuels over Kw2 anyday.. just on the charator issue alone...kw2 is a punk..we dont need that on this team

first, welcome newbie.
second. very cool conspiracy theory.
have you ever heard of art bell? he hosts an am radio show, very late nights, where people who time travel and go on rides with aliens call in. he'd love your theory. don't get me wrong, it's fun to chew on, but it's currently orbiting pluto.

Once again, the young man stuns me with a wisdom that most assume comes with age.
Nice, Jake.
I agree with you 100% here. K2 needs to be in a place where there would be a whole lot of attention focused mainly on he alone. He'd need to be in a Jeremy Shockey type situation, and Gibbs certainly prefers that the defense kinda forgets that there's a TE back there who can do stuff.

After watching Samuels this year, we'll all be laughing about this discussion. He was great before Spurrier, he'll be great after. Spurrier had the worst blocking schemes in NFL history. Bugel will have Samuels and Jansen in the Pro Bowl. As for KW2, he is not the best TE in football, he has yet to even take a snap and is already threatening to sit out the season. Not to mention, his blocking skills are sorely lacking on the NFL level. TE is not all about highlight reel catches. He might catch 5 passes and be asked to block 30 times a game. Who would you rather have, Don Warren, smath-mouth extension of the O-line, or whiny, mouthy, give me the damn ball Winslow, who wants to be paid like the #1 pick even though he was drafted 6th! Easy answer, IMO.

Well, I for one really enjoyed the read--welcome newbie.
I think that this post was much better than the typical one with subject "SO WHO WILL WHERE 26 THIS NETX YEAAR?" At least this one was kind of interesting to imagine.
Not that I think it's any truer. . .just that I appreciate the whole "imagine a possible world where. . ." scenarios. After all, it IS the offseason and it DOES get a bit slow in between these camps.

well, I would say that I have a better chance at starting at Tight end then something like that happening. Thats just ridiculous.

That would be a deaster of a trade. KW2is such a cancer why would anyone want to have that kind of problem.
