It will be Fitz, I'd really like to see Allen get a shot as well, he was playing well when he got hurt.
My fear is we are going to see all three! :?

Unless he's hurt it will be Fitz.

It's great Heinike had a strong minicamp, but talking about him starting over Fitz is kind of over the top. Some perspective. Again no denying he had a good camp and that is a positive for the team.

Its pretty strange Rivera hasn't really had much to say about Allen at all when talking about those QBs. I know he's currently out, but he's barely mentioned him at all talking about the current QB "competition".

Think Fitz will start with Heineke the #2.

It will be Fitz, but I want it to be Heinike. That said, Heinike needs to stop rolling out to run so quickly and instead learn how to evade a pass rush but still be in a position to make a throw. Against Cincy, he was rolling out and running far too fast. I consider him a Favre type player, which I love, but he's breaking out far faster than ever Favre did. This is the very clear reason why he gets hurt so much. Honestly, he was lucky he didn't tear his rotator on that diving TD run in the playoffs.

I'll be honest I like all three QBs on the roster, but fully expect Fitz to be the starter.

My impression of Fitzmagic btw is that he's been fairly durable through his long career. Is that true?

Can't disagree with any of ^^^ this.

As a fan of his I'll throw in some optimistic points while realizing he is unproven, etc.

Taylor Heinicke of Old Dominion has the FCS record of 730 passing yards in one game. He did it on my birthday. Here are highlights of Heinicke's performance against New Hampshire on September 22nd, 2012:

TH is extremely intelligent and can process a mountain of information quickly. When he played the Bucs he had a season of tape on their D as well as a game plan. He was well prepared and it showed.

In the Buc game, I saw him do what he does best. He'd come to the line with a play, time, and a defense he was prepared for. He'd undress it a bit when he could and when he thought he knew what he was about to see, he'd take the snap and act VERY DECISIVELY.

He would adapt his anticipated progressions to what he saw pre-snap and would quickly adjust if something changed post-snap. He was pulling the trigger and almost every time he let go of the ball that day I found myself saying "Yes" before I knew where it was going because of how decisive and fluid he was.

On the famous pylon dive TD run.

I maintain that though many NFL QBs have the speed to have made that play, very few could have actually done it because of all that went into it. He tried to keep this play alive and when nothing opened up, he took off - not right away.

I keep coming back to the word DECISIVE.

I think if he has tape and a game plan you'll see him working the offense more and taking off real soon less.

I'm a TH lover. I'm probably a fool but I want to see him get a real chance.
