Cleveland Browns are acting like

They might wanna win a game this year. They already upgraded their WR, and QB situation for the 2018 season. Kizer was dealt to the Packers for a draft pick.
The Browns have made at least 3 big trades. They picked up Tyrod Taylor from the Bills, and Landry from the Dolphins along with trading Kizer to the Packers for Randal a Corner Back.
But, if the Browns win at least 4 games. It will be considered progress.

The Browns will finish in the top 24 this season - it's not hard to see the Redskins picking in the top 8 in the 2019 draft
that would be a good thing if we had anyone that knew what they were doing

Personally I'm gonna wait to see how the Browns do in Sept, and Oct before I make a comment on the progress, or lack of progress they are showing. Not insulting the Browns. Just going on how they have been since 99.

The Browns will be a lot better simply because they have a FO that knows how to put an NFL roster together and they have accumulated a lot of draft picks - John Dorsey will ensure that what has happened in the past will not continue to happen here
all successful NFL franchises have very good FO personnel - The Redskins FO is the reason this franchise is considered a joke

Well I'm chosing to wait and see.
Several other GM's have come into Cleveland and made the situation worse. Holmgren is the big example of one that before he got to Cleveland was top notch. Yet, in Cleveland he fouled it up worse than it already was. I'm willing to wait til the mid point of the 2018 season before I will admit to being wrong. If at week 9 the Browns are at least 2 wins minimum. I will happily say that I am wrong on my thoughts.

The Browns of the past have not had people in charge who have the authority, the draft picks and the incredible cap space that these guys now have - these people will get this franchise back on track - there is no doubt about that in the minds of most knowledgeable NFL people
this not the same old Browns ...

I actually wanna believe this. But, I'm being cautious on my opinion of them. I do agree about the draft picks, and cap space. But, I wanna see them play a few games after the first off-season with this new folks in power. The big problem was the losses last season. But, looking at the margin of losses. Most of them were under 14 points. Which means that they should have not lost all 16 games. But, Like I have already said. I wanna believe the Browns are gonna improve.
The Ravens window is closing. And, the Bengals window is closed. Also the Steelers window is closing. The next few years if your hope that the Browns are about to become a power in the AFC North. That window is about to be wide open.

all I'm pointing out is that where the Browns have been horrible for so long they're about to be out of that mess
not sure they're winning or contending in the near future but they will be in the top 22 and out of the bottom 10

Well I'm still gonna be reserved. I actually hope you are right. I would love to see the Browns as a playoff contender in the next few years.

Browns just announced that Tyrod Taylor. Who last season was the starter in Buffalo will be the Browns starter. Well It's a slight upgrade in that position. But, in my opinion it's a slight upgrade. Nothing spectacular.

the Browns will be better soon and much better in a couple of years - the Redskins will not be better until Dan Snyder stops interfering

Well would you feel better if Snyder was to chose to fire a coach that won him 2 super bowls in 5 years, and left him a team that was a championship contender for a few more if Snyder was to fire him. And, his coach was also the GM.

say what - The reality is the Redskins have not done well under Dan Snyder
The Browns have 12 picks in this draft and with John Dorsey in charge, it seems very likely that the Browns will be looked at a lot differently than will the Redskins while Dan Snyder keeps managing things
btw - Scot McCloughan will be assisting with the Browns draft ...

more reason to hope the Browns can become a top 16 franchise again

Good points. But, I'll expect not much for 2018. Now 2019 and after. You are probably correct.

I think the Browns are headed for 7-9 or 8-8 in 2018. All those young players, all those god picks piled up, a competent GM. They will draft the best available QB, then add on. Tyrod Taylor will hold the position until [QB to be drafted] has learned. Maybe they replace the head coach and staff. Then, yes, 2019 probably the year they make the playoffs.
Oh, and if you remove the seasons of Gibbs III (2004 - 2007), SnyderSkins are worse than merely dismal.
Sadly, it is more pleasant to imagine what the Browns will do than the SnyderSkins.

there's reason for optimism in looking at the Browns under John Dorsey's guidance - whether that be this season or next
we all hope that we can find a way to get to 8 wins ... just like always

I'm thinking they win 4 games this upcoming season. That would be a huge upgrade. That's where I'm setting the bar for the 2018 season. 2019 season I feel that 8 wins might be possible.

1st round of the Draft.
Mayfield from OU as potential Franchise QB. Slight Reach. But, He was a top 5 player in my opinion.
Ward from Ohio State was a great pick.

Day 2 of the draft. Cleveland made some really good picks. Well time shall tell if they are good picks or not. But, right now Cleveland's draft is either a winner, or typical Browns drafts. A big fat bust.

Only time will tell - it will be obvious soon that basing opinions on what the Browns did in the past is a mistake - the decisions this franchise is making now is not relevant to what happened in the past - this is a completely different group of people making decisions here

Not disagreeing with you. But, I feel that I wanna wait and see. I'm willing to wait til week 4 before I look at them, and agree 100% that progress is being made. I do like their draft. So Far.

Cleveland Browns are acting like a franchise that clearly demonstrates what can happen when the owner lets the FO manage things
The Redskins might get better next season ... maybe - the Browns are already a lot better
