That would be the 2017 Cleveland Browns. They equalled the 2008 Detroit Lions for a season winless. But, if you add the next season. the 2009 Lions won 2 games. The 2016 Browns won 1 game. Nuff said. The 2017 browns are the bottom of the barrel.
The Cleveland Browns only have 1 winless season. 2017. Last year they won 1 game.
In Fact I'll list all years since they returned.
Year wins losses ties
1999 2 14
2000 3 13
2001 7 9
2002 9 7
2003 5 11
2004 4 12
2005 6 10
2006 4 12
2007 10 6
2008 4 12
2009 5 11
2010 5 11
2011 4 12
2012 5 11
2013 4 12
2014 7 9
2015 3 13
2016 1 15
2017 0 16
Worst season before to moving to Baltimore, and becoming the Ravens
1975 3 11

No doubt, the Browns are V bad but I think that we'll see a lot of improvement very quickly with the new GM, 2 picks in the top 4 in the draft and some good players to build around - at one time yesterday this team was tied at 21-21 in Pittsburgh ...

we on the other hand look like we're going to stay with the same people in charge making decisions that have us as a mediocre franchise at best

The Redskins are better than the Browns but the Redskins have the longest current streak since we won 11 games in a season

I agree that the Browns should improve if what you say happens. But, I was talking about this year's Browns team, and last years. Together they own that title.
And the argument for the Detroit Lions is bogus cause they had more than 1 win the year before they went winless. Both times.
The year prior to the 2008 season the Lions went 7 wins and 9 losses. The year after they went 2 and 14. Way back in the 1942 season they also went winless. 1941 they went 4-6-1. 1943 they went 3-6-1. That eliminates the Lions from this debate.
Now for the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
True they lost every game their first season. They were an expansion team. So there was no season before their only winless season. They won 2 games in 1977. That is better than the Cleveland Browns of this year and last year.

The 76 Buccaneers who went winless can be "classed" as worse, Dallas in 1960 0-11-1 wasn't blowing away anybody, Detriot who went winless 1 and now the Browns have done it twice just never back-back. Dallas and Tampa eventually got better and went on to win the title, then digressed because of ownership issues just like the Browns and Lions over the years

so, I don't know if you can call them the worst but they certainly won't be getting better anytime soon but hey as long as the owner makes money
what does it matter right?
