That means that next year someone else will be starting in New Jersey for the New Jersey Giants.
Gino Smith gets the start today supposedly. Well the Giants have been ELIminated since October 1 anyway.

Giants owner was not happy about that. He fired both Head Coach and GM today.

I am in complete agreement with you on this. Skins have a great QB. Problem with Skins ain't him. It's their O-line, and lack of running game.

when you look at what has happened here since 1999, the problem is not who plays or coaches here but simply that we don't have anyone with any NFL knowledge making decisions on who should play and coach here - we might luck into success for a season or 2 but it's not a given like it is at many other franchises

Until Dan Snyder gives the FO the authority to make decisions, his franchise will be mediocre at best

As much as I would love to agree with the assumption that Eli is moving on from the Giants in 2018. Reality kicks in He is not eligible to be an unrestricted free agent till 2020, His Total Contract Value is $84,000,000, his Annual Contract Value is $21,000,000 and his Fully Guaranteed Money is $36,500,000. Top that with the fact that he'll be 37 this coming January which tells me that Eli is just going to have to live with the Giants shortcomings or simply retire at the end of the year

cause I don't see anyone picking up his contract

Agreed. No team is likely to pay that amount of guaranteed money for a 37 year old QB who has been slumping downward. Unless the Giants can persuade Manning to stretch his $ into a long retirement pension -- $2 million a year for about 19 years -- then they are sunk. No easy solution for either Manning or the Giants, it seems. It also puts the Giants out of the Kirk Cousins bidding.

(Cousins to the Jets?)

Agreed they are screwed for now but doubt they would have wanted Cousins if they had a chance at him? as much as I hate to say it but the Giants have a chance
unless the Browns steal him away with the 1st overall pick, To get Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma, He's arrogant, plays with a chip on his shoulder and fits into the
NY attitude

granted he would not start immediately for them should they draft him? but he could be dangerous to the NFC East unless the rest of the East in the next few years
manages to put together some stellar defenses together, Except the ones in Philly I say let him pass all over them all day, every day

But Dallas and Washington need to be on the lookout for this kid and hope the Giants are dumb enough to pass on him cause we don't want to face this kid twice a year
