This guy seems to be more of a guard prospect than a tackle

WHY?!?!!?

We passed on an EXCELLENT defensive end like Hilton?????? For the love of God why?!?!?!

I think it is a rather obvious message that Joe is delivering here.

I actually like this guy a fair bit, though I admit having a bit of a penchant for ND though much less since Holtz left.

He's got good feet and I watched him a few times this year and he played very, very well. And this is theHogs.net... if you think i don't watch the left tackle on at least half of the offensive plays then you are mistaken. he has great physical skills IMO, and the only area of his game that lacks is perhaps the basic fundamentals. But try to remember that he's only been playing on the OFFENSIVE line for a couple of years and is still learning how to play. Buge's is a pretty good guy to teach him.

he's a PA boy, so Wingman will be happy and may be able to offer some better insight.

He could play guard but I actually like Molinaro more than Wilson and think he could maybe even make the squad, although obviously the Skins liked them in the opposite order.

Having said ALL of that, I was still actually hoping to hear the name Howard Hodges who's still available. Not a bad DE from Iowa that's still available... probably practiced against Gallery a fair bit too. He's small though at 255 but he is a great athlete. Could probably line up like Suggs did last year in baltimore though... sorta LB, sorta DE :-)

He's still available though with about 60 picks to go (54 picks in the 7th)... so maybe he'll go undrafted and we can pick him up as a project. [-o<

I have to admit, I am a bit vexed by draft day two. Do you guys think the reasoning behind drafting two OT is they may plan to convert them to Defensive Linemen?

JUST A THOUGHT - DO YOU THINK JOE EXPECTS BUGEL TO GROOM ONE OF THESE PICKS JUST IN CASE THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO KEEP SAMUELS NEXT YEAR??

While I was also wondering why the Skin's drafted O-linemen the only reason I could think of was they must of was they had these guy's higher on there draft board than any d-linemen. Just trust in Gibb's and remember you can never have to many good offensive linemen.
