Thanks DEHog - that's great news ...

some of our players could learn a lot from players like Joe Jacoby - these guys don't play with near the same intensity

Yes, it should be Big Joe.

I like Roger Craig in there over either Lynch or Warner.

Warner is a LOCK! Made it to the final cut two years in a row, only reason he didn't get in last year was because of a guy named Farve. Add to that he's the only QB nominated as a semi-finalist this year.

If there is an 8th? it could be Jerruh but then again Jerruh ahead of the real architect Jimmie
makes no sense, so here's hoping Jimmie somehow makes it - cheers

Clearly you can't read (no surprise)

DE mentioned a possible 8th name that would be added to the 2017
pro football hall of fame class, Tagilabue, however I don't think
Jerruh's name is out of the running for this years class of inductees
but I say...Induct Jimmie J if there is going to be an 8th instead of
Jerruh

carry on

As some of us understand, even fans can nominate someone. I do not have high hopes for Richie Petitbon going in as a coach. He has 3 rings as a coordinator but failed as a head coach. He was also an excellent player. I could see him getting in the way Dick LeBeau did eventually.

It is easy to overlook Brian Mitchell. He is second only to Jerry Rice in lifetime all-purpose yards with 23,330 to Rice's 23,546.

Talk about a hypocrite with no clue,

first NO hope, changes direction concludes with he could see him getting in the way LeBeau did
but staunchly believes Norv will never see the inside of the Hall rotflmao

For the record Petibon was one of 94 modern era players/coaches nominated for the PFHOF this year. IMO this was a symbolic nomination as his 25 years to make it as a modern era inductee is up next year.

I think the joke is on you, Petibon could get in the way Labeau did, as a senior nominated
player. Norv never played in the NFL so he will have to rely on his HC career.

Finalists come out in a few hours....Here's to Jake!!

The j/k isn't on me

it's on you!! here's your argument in a nutshell

* Petitbon has 3 rings as a coordinator, has failed
as head coach but deserves/will be honored the
very same way LeBeau was inducted

* Norv Turner has 2 rings with Dallas as H/C
has failed like Petitbon as a H/C and according
to you an the others

will never see the inside of Canton's hallowed Halls?
if there ever was a more ignorant display it's right
here and now

You continue to show your ignorance on the subject. Just saying next year being his last year of eligibility he would have to take the route Lebeau took and be nominated by the senior committee

Also you're comparing apples and oranges, Lebeau was inducted as a player. Norv would have to go in as a coach where as Petibon could be nominated as either.

Candy from a baby.

Do you understand that LeBeau DID NOT GET IN AS A COACH ???????????????

Now read it again:

The above clearly shows you have no clue. This is called IRONY.

You could make up for this gaffe by admitting you misread my post and replied with a knee-jerk attack.

Do you understand that from a technical stand point, He did get in as a coach, fancy wording doesn't
hide the intent...LeBeau had to have had some sort of service, To the NFL in order to get in, Just b/c
they don't word it as such doesn't mean anything

and that still doesn't explain how IF LeBeau, Levy who are in, Petitbon who you want to see get
in under "special circumstances" You've totally ignored Norv's legit claim? OH wait yes it does
sour grapes grudges, NO matter what way you explain it

there is no convincing you Norv is worthy b/c after all he did
such a horrible job screwing the Redskins over

He is still coaching.

Anyway back on topic!!
I got 10-15 right

Kevin Mawae
LaDainian Tomlinson
Morten Andersen
Alan Faneca
Terrell Owens
Don Coryell
Joe Jacoby
Terrell Davis
John Lynch
Kurt Warner

I was surprise by Taylor being a first ballot finalist, not so much for Dawkins and I knew LT would be.
Other surprises were Boselli, Bruce and Law making it to the final 15...along with Mawae they knocked out Atwater, James, Craig, Johnson and Mecklenburg.

I'm going to stick with my picks for top 5 but IF Dallas make it to the SB I can see some voters getting all nostalgic and voting for Jones and/or Owens.
Hoping Lynch still gets in...I don't see Dawkins as a first ballot like I see Ed Reed.

Now on to the big one
Now way Boselli makes is over Joe.
As for Mawae this is his third year, first year as a Finalist.
It really will come down to Faneca and Joe for the lineman spot. This is Faneca second year and he's made the final 15 both times.
This is Joe's 19th year and second straight year as a finalist. Last year Joe made the first cut Faneca didn't...WELCOME TO CANTON JOE JACOBY!!!!!

I want Coryell, Warner, Davis, Jacoby, and Tomlinson. That is a quality class.
T Owens only would be worthy if a class has no other quality candidates. Numbers don't mean squat. I would have loved to see T Owens have to deal with the rules of the 70's. I bet he would have quit after 2 games.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame celebrates five core Values – commitment, integrity, courage, respect, and excellence – that are not only necessary to achieve greatness on the football field but are also required to succeed in life.
This is straight from the PFHOF Website...Sounds like TO doesn't it! I'd make him wait a few years, I wouldn’t even have voted him a semi-finalist for a couple of years...to send a message to others who want to act like a A$$. He didn't make the first cut last year so I think they are going to make him wait another year.

I want Coryell, Warner, Davis, Jacoby, and Tomlinson. That is a quality class.
That's a good class, I see Davis or LT getting in but not both. Did you know the voters have this deal when a sure fire first ballot HOF'er name is brought up in the room for voting...out of respect they say nothing. Do you see LT as that on the same level as a Brett Farve, Lewis. Brady, Manning?? I don't.

Here's how things usually go, those who make the first cut into the top ten are usually voted in the next year. For example 4 out of the 5 from 2015 made it in 2016. The one exception was Warner and that was because of a guy named Favre. So Warner is a lock this year! The 5 who made the top 10 last year were Don Coryell, Terrell Davis, Joe Jacoby, John Lynch and Kurt Warner. So logic would say they all make it this year unless a first ballot player become eligible? Does LT knock out Davis? Does Dawkins knock out Lynch…I say no, I think the voters are setting them up to go in next year or the year after.

If I had to chose 1. I chose LT. He had the better career due to injury.
I do agree with your comments 100%. Well thought out, and you made valid points. And, Davis would go in next year. Problem solved.
