Nice to have a guy that can pour it on in the 2nd half of the year. Maybe he can repeat in Dec too?!

Give me a playoff win or two.
Not to sound bitter but I really don't want a Dan Fouts or Dan Marino. Give me a Terry Bradshaw or a Joe Montana. Fouts and Marino were better quarterbacks but Eli Manning has more rings than they do.riggofan wrote:Good grief, man! We only have another month or two of Redskins football. Enjoy it!!!
QB’s get way too much credit when they win and too much blame when they lose. Can’t understand why W/L get recorded on that position. Redskins won three SB with three different QB’s! If I told you that a QB won 3 out of 4 SB’s with 3 different LT’s he’d be a first ballot HOF’er, yet Joe Jacoby won 3 out of 4 with 3 different QB’s and is still waiting?? As for your example Joe, Terry and Eli had one thing in common; they played with great defenses with HOF players…off the top of my head… Ronnie Lott, Deion Sanders, Charles Haley Michael Strahan, Joe Greene, Jack Ham, Mel Blount, Jack Lambert…yet I can’t think of one for Marino or Fouts? I guess one could argue the biggest thing Cousins is missing is a HOF defensive player…Sean Taylor come to mind…what could have been!!Burgundy&GoldForever wrote:Not to sound bitter but I really don't want a Dan Fouts or Dan Marino. I'm just making the point I'd rather have team accomplishments than individual awards. Twenty-five years of "also ran" is about my limit.DEHog wrote:QB’s get way too much credit when they win and too much blame when they lose. Can’t understand why W/L get recorded on that position. of course! We're just weeks away from having a shot at getting a playoff win. No reason not to enjoy some success in the regular season.Burgundy&GoldForever wrote:I'm just making the point I'd rather have team accomplishments than individual awards.
Not meaningless. Just enjoy it for what it is.Burgundy&GoldForever wrote:Meaningless awards ...![]()
I did for about two minutes. Then I remembered we lost the last game we played, against the Pukes. That always leaves me bitter.Irn-Bru wrote:Not meaningless. Just enjoy it for what it is.Burgundy&GoldForever wrote:Meaningless awards ...![]()
I bet it comes up again about 13 weeks from now.Burgundy&GoldForever wrote:I did for about two minutes. Then I remembered we lost the last game we played, against the Pukes. In any case, I'll be stunned if anyone is talking about this at all in four weeks.
I think the negotiating ship has sailed. The Skins gambled and lost. They'll be paying Cousins $24MM a year regardless of what he does from here forward.riggofan wrote:I bet it comes up again about 13 weeks from now.
I think they'd be willing to make that trade.Burgundy&GoldForever wrote:They better hope he doesn't win the Super Bowl because they'll be paying him upwards of $30MM a year.
I'm sure they would but that would hurt their ability to address any other position on the roster.Deadskins wrote:I think they'd be willing to make that trade.Burgundy&GoldForever wrote:They better hope he doesn't win the Super Bowl because they'll be paying him upwards of $30MM a year.
It helps to take the entire statement in context rather than taking either the prefatory clause or the operative clause independently out of context.SkinsJock wrote:as good as he is - Cousins is not getting $30M to play QB for the Redskins next season
