Now the team may need to take this 1 game at a time, but that doesn't mean we have to.

Our upcoming games are... cardinals, eagles, panthers, bears, and giants. Now anything can happen, but the general consensus out there is 9-6-1 gets us in the 6th wildcard spot. So we gotta win 3 of the next 5... so worst case is you lose to either the eagles or giants and lose to either the Panthers, cardinals, or Bears. Out of those the 2 most important are the cards and eagles because both of those teams are still in the hunt, and us winning the next 2 weeks over them almost locks us into the playoffs.

So, if we drop 2 games, odds put it that we will play the division winning lions or vikings. Either way, I like our chances, and predict we win either way. Then we would travel to Dallas probably to face the Cowboys for a 3rd game (I'd rather face them than the seahawks) and I think in a 3rd game, we can take them out. That puts us in the nfc championship game at seattle...

I'll stop it there... we aren't likely to, or a favorite to make it to the super bowl, but for the first time in maybe the last 15 or so years, there is a foreseeable path that doesn't require luck, or wouldn't get you looked at as crazy by any reasonable impartial football fan

THAT is a result of a good GM, consistency at the coaching positions and by good coaches, and a good, consistent QB. As long as those 3 things remain constant, then there is no reason the team isn't in the above position every year for the foreseeable future.

I have to disagree with you there

so let's forget about the division leaders for right now...Tampa, NYG, Philly, and Minnesota are the 4 teams
you need to watch for, I mention the Eagles only b/c @ 5-5 they are the spoilers in all of this, You lost to us on
Turkey day, Minnesota however did you a favor losing to Detroit on Thanksgiving, Tampa is playing Seattle
tomorrow, Giants are @ Cleveland which does you no favors, Philly is hosting GB tomorrow night which is
more than likely a win for them since the Packers stink

which means? you would need to beat Arizona in Arizona next week pray Philly, Tampa, NYG and Minnesota
all lose next week just to stay competitive in the rat race for the final playoff spot..A win out by any of the
teams mentioned combined with a failure to win out yourselves pretty much slams the door closed at the
rematch with Dallas this year

Not at all. The Giants are almost a lock for the #5 wildcard spot. Really it's between Tampa, Minnesota and Arizona. All of their schedules are harder than ours, and we are up on all of them at this time. Philly I'm taking out of it because of their schedule, nothing against their team... I think they are good, but they will be lucky to see 2 more wins.

We are very much I'm control, 0 or 1 loss we are 100% in, 2 losses likely still a 85% chance, 3 losses them we are next to 0 chance.

Not sure I agree with that at all. Their next give games are Pittsburgh, Dallas, Detroit, Eagles, Washington. I don't see any of those games as locks for them.

Dallas is 99% to get in the playoffs (and 89% to win the East).
Seattle is 98% to get in.
Atlanta is 85%.
Detroit is 75%.
NYG is 72%.

We (46%) are in a virtual probabalistic dead heat with the Vikings (48%).

The Arizona game is crucial to improving our chances as we are a road dog.

Winning while the Giants lose at Pitt and the Vikings lose at Dallas would be HUGE.

The thing with the vikings is we are 1 game up on them. They should minimum lose to the Cowboys, which means we can lose 2 and still be ahead of them, and I'd say between the Colts, bears, and Packers they will drop 1 of those.

If anything the bucs look like the bigger threat now, but ultimately we are in control
