Redskins-Saints
Redskins get: New Orleans' third-round pick (No. 81), which they used to select Utah State TE Chris

ey, and the fifth-round pick (No. 151) they acquired from Minnesota.
Saints get: Washington's fifth-round pick (No. 139) and the Redskins' second-round pick in 2005.

Man this trade is stupid as hell! Our next years 2nd round pick? DAMN man... My opinion might change if he ends up being our starting TE for the next 7 or 8+ years but the price looks kinda steep for a 3rd round pick.

What?!?!
Chris

ey=Clint Didier
This was Joe Gibbs personal choice, I'm sure of it

If we go deep into the playoffs that 2nd rounder will lose value

You also said Winslow was Gibbs' choice, too.

According to Mel Kiper, written on Sept. 10th
"Chris

ey, Utah State- A major weapon in the Aggies pass offense, showing velcro hands as well as the ability to adjust his 6-3 1/2, 251 pound frame to haul in the poorly thrown ball. Against Nebraska,

ey caught 6 passes for 92 yards, including a brilliant 41 yard TD reception."
Mel Kiper, written on Jan. 16th
"Chris

ey, TE, Utah State- Had a great finish to the year with 10 catches in the Aggies season finale against Idaho and made a highlight grab against Nebraska.

ey finished the year with 62 catches thanks to his speed, athleticism and hands. He could be an H-back or a moving tight end in the mold of former Washington Redskins standout Clint Didier.

ey would be ideal in an offense like Mike Martz runs in San Diego or the one Joe Gibbs will bring back to Washington"

I am almost sure Joe Gibbs was in the can when Gregg Williams snuck over and drafted Sean Taylor, but all is not lost, Chris

ey will be a nice TE/H-back

without the attitude though
Mortensen... or was it the guy at Ashburn... told us today Gibbs wanted Winslow... wanted the TE like his father... but Williams walked in still convinced he could change Gibbs' mind.
Who knows... we have two of three needs... now someone please tell me what we are gonna do with the line?
Please?

I thought we agreed that we didn't need a line! Only Sean Taylor!
I am a believer that a line helps the linebackers and the seconddary, a good linebacker unit helps the secondary and a good secondary... is just a good secondary, they can't really help the guys in front. I think Griffin will be a great lineman this year, and Daniels will be okay, but we need more... I am excited to see what happens, either tomorrow or on cut day.

Daniels will do better with some real beef next to Griffin... if those two soak up the interior line of the opponents offense, they free up the ends in a one on one situation.
Daniels, when he isn't moved inside, can get to the QB, and so can Upshaw if his knee ever gets back to full strength. But I think we need that MEAT in the middle next to Griffin, and Wilfork would have been the ultimate there... did you see in the films today, in Vilma's and Williams' from Miami - Wilfork was key in taking on two or three guys... sometimes still ending up in the tag end of a play...
::sigh::
Ok... how about the kid from LSU? Think he is worth looking at?

I dunno, he's already 25 years old and he's got questionable durability

Make our two choices tommorow D-lineman and wait until after the draft and after June 1st to fill the voids. Does that help?

actually they said that while he had an ankle injury last year that durability is not a concern...
I don't want a freaking one gap guy though... we had that last year and OLmen used them as extra blockers when they pushed 'em back into the LB...
This is what is so frustrating to me
::banging head on desk::
This was a huge draft for DL and we let them ALL go by...

Actually, I think theres still a couple of D-Linemen on the board that could contribute. Sure they wouldn't get to start on a team that already had any stength on the DL, for us? They could probably start!
Sapoage from Hawaii and Askew Michigan State could both have easily been 2nd rounders and I'm certainly surprised they didn't go in the 3rd.
Unfortunately, I don't fancy the chances of them hanging round till our 5th round pick. Another trade please?!

My cousin goes to MSU! I wouldn't mind having a Spartan player come to Washington, but my first pick is STILL Hilton!

Hey, we've got 2 picks left, 2 holes there - let just get both!
Seriously, I would rather spend both picks on the DL. 1 on a pass rushing end and one on a stuffing middle man.
Any other holes we have now are more of a depth issue really. Our starting 11's on each side of the ball are looking pretty strong and the players we need for the common sets we'll be using are very nearly there too.
