I wish we could have had winslow!!!

Post by skins#1fan »

Man I really wanted winslow. I think he could do so much more for us. He would actually touch the ball 3 to 5 times a game. No linebacker in the leauge could matchup with him. He would get us out of our third down blunders we have had for years and would be crucial in goaline situations. But defense does win championships and we did need help on defense but it would have been to hard for me to pass up winslow. He will be a dominate force that wont be stopped for years to come!

yup, I agree... but I think I got most of this out of my system and it's time to accept that we have Taylor instead :?

I always wanted Taylor and would have been happy with Winslow instead.

Both would have/will a huge impact on our team. One on defense one on offense. In the end, I believe it all came down to that.

We rated both players pretty much equally, and its our defense that looks weakest right now. So there's the justification the FO have and its good enough for me!

The WORST thing we could have done was get another offensive player! Even with Sean Taylor we still have holes on Defense and you guy's want to get a rarely used TE? That would have made NO sense. If Taylor wasn't available I still wouldn't want KW2, I would have wanted a DL. Enough offense, maybe some more depth but we have all the staters we need.

You don't use the #5 overall pick for a player who's going to touch the ball "3 to 5 times a game." Must be impact.

Me so happy today! :celebrate:

Whinin Winslow

Post by fleetus »

The reason most of us are so excited about Gibbs' return is because we want a Skins team like he built in the 80's. "Me first" whiners like Winslow are not the building blocks of great teams. The Postons will stick it to the Browns. Then Winslow will whine and rant for a few years until he can go somewhere else for a big pay day. In Sean Taylor we drafted a guy who has as much or more passion for the game as Winslow, but he demonstrates it on the field, not through whiny press conferences. Taylor has been compared to Ray Lewis and Ronnie Lott for his toughness, tackling and big play ability. That's the kind of attitude we need!!! Not the Kellen Winslow kind that has to whine within 5 minutes of being drafted. He's a punk.
Build through the draft!
