Kind of reminiscent of the old days with Elway and the Colts... wonder if the Chargers will draft him anyway?

Rumor has it that the Chargers will still, in fact, draft him at #1. (Just heard it on ESPN). The question becomes:

1. Will Elway (I mean Eli) even take the podium after he's selected #1?!>!>

I say no.

There are so many good players in this draft, and the Chargers ne SO much help. They should just trade down and take someone else.

Elway had leverage. He could just as easily have played baseball. Manning doesn't have that option. If the Chargers draft him he has two choices: play for them or don't play at all.

Eli has said he will not sign and sit out the season... he can play baseball, but he has the highest pay brother in the NFL

The Chargers never do the right thing with their top pick ....show they'll draft Manning.

THIS SHOULD BE FUN
