On ESPN's Bottomline I read that the Supreme Court denied Maurice Clarett's request to join the NFL Draft on Saturday! I think that it's a GREAT ruling. I never thought this kid was ever ready.

I for one am glad. If this had passed the flood gates would be open to all high schoolers wanting to test the waters.

Oh yeah, there were 7 high schoolers who were declared eligible a few months ago. I wonder if they're out, too.

Yeah. I like the ruling too. Pro football is too brutal for high school kids. I was worried about todays ruling because of who the judge is, but it turned out for what I think is the best.

the only person i feel bad for is Mike Williams...he could've done a lot of things early...definately starter potential. Hopefully the courts will let him go back and play for USC even though he already hired an agent

I hope this ruling gives basketball the courage to institute a similar system, that would REALLY improve the quality of play in the NBA

Good, Im glad he didn't make it. He wouldn't have ever filed a suit if HE didnt screw up! He did the wrong thing, and tried to use this rule as a SCAPE GOAT. Im glad that the courts recognized this and sent his dumb *** packing. I do feel for that WR though, he just reacted to a circumstance that was legit at the time.

I'm no lawyer, but I don't believe you can appeal beyond the Supreme Court. Their word is usually final.

Yes you can!! This was not the final in all of this. The decision today was for temporary uplifting for the draft on Saturday. ](*,) He has not appealled yet.
