It's Dallas Week

we opened as 3.5 point favorites ...

Maybe Cousins & Gruden can show some improvement in the second half after a lousy 1st half against the Steelers

Key was settling for field goals and continuously being conservative. We have the best skilled positions in the league and cant score 20 on a poor secondary.

A win vs dullass would be a nice Chaser to this bad of an opener. I think everyone needs to do some soul searching before they lace em up again tho Smmfh

Dallas will post 200+ yards rushing against us.

I hope Josh Doctson turns into a great wide receiver because choosing him over an obvious need area of DL is hard to handle. Offensive line and defensive line win games. We all know that. It's pretty straight forward.

Steelers have the ball for ten straight minutes in the second quarter. Eight first down. We can only hope that Kirk Cousins figures out a way to stop the run this weekend.

Man, I'm trying not to dwell on that, but it was hard watching that game.

Any bets on whether we call up Pot Roast this week?

Pittsburgh's offense and our inability to stop their running game was all the Steelers needed - PLUS a VERY disappointing game from Cousins .... and not a great job by the coaching staff - lots of penalties and mistakes - we did not look good - why are we going on 4th and 6 when the QB has not looked good throwing the ball? am I the only one that could not believe how bad that throw was? Cousins may have completed a number of passes but there were way too many that were horrible - Jon Gruden pointed out that he was not playing well at all - he must have been listening to OldSchool because he was not running with the ball, even if there was nobody within 15 yards of him

Dallas will be looking at film and Barry had better find a way to correct what was a terrible defensive effort

good for you - Ben took full advantage of what he had - Cousins did not - did you think he played well? Jon Gruden didn't!

we lost because we did not play very well at all, offensively or defensively - way too many mistakes, penalties and missed tackles

NOT Cousins fault but he's the QB and he's the one trying to prove that he's worth a lot of money - not a good showing is all ...

It's one week. The first week. We needed this reality check as soon as possible to whip this team into gear.

What's good for me? That I can watch a game objectively?

No, I didn't think Cousins play was sharp enough at all. Especially in the first quarter, seemed like he had a couple low throws, balls behind WRs, etc;

Hard to evaluate him the rest of that half though. Our defense could not get off the freaking field.

Did you even watch the game? It was clearly only Gruden and Cousins playing in the second half.

To be honest, I just heard that part where Jon Gruden said Kirk wasn't playing well. Kind of tuned out after that.

I thought this was the Dallas week thread, not the Steelers Vs. Redskins postgame thread.

the pukes will be really fired up after losing a game I'm sure they felt they would win ...

hopefully everyone learns from that woeful performance and takes it out on a team that we are favored to beat

it's going to be a fun test

I expect to see Robert Kelley getting some carries after the paltry performance by Matt Jones this week.

They definitely SHOULD have won that game on Sunday. If Terrance Williams gets out of bounds on their last drive, they'd have had a shot at the winning FG.

These games with Dallas are always tougher than they should be, but they're starting a rookie, fourth round QB. No excuses. This isn't Pittsburgh coming in here.

If Williams gets out it's no where near a lock they win man.. that's like a 63 yarder! Ask the Cards about game winning field goals lol

The pukes should have won the game - they lost it to a giants group that just played better - the giants are not that good either

even with our issues we are better than the pukes - their defense is nowhere near as good as the Steelers - Cousins had a really bad game (especially with his decision making and his passes) against the Steelers and still had over 300 years

the Redskins had better show up on Sunday - they cannot continue to make as many mistakes as they made on Monday

Not saying its a lock, but he gets out of bounds they still could have run one more play AND they have one of the best kickers in the league.

For once I will agree except that Dallas should have won the game, Neither side IMO
was overly blowing anyone away with missed chances, NY had the 1 turnover the NO
stars converted into a touchdown outside of that? In the end it needed to end in a tie
just to do the game itself justice

I didn't watch, but was listening to Mike&Mike this morning talk about how great the Giants d-line was that game. Any truth to that? I know they upgraded, but seems like with a rookie 4th round QB playing his first game they probably weren't that afraid of getting beat in the air either.

Let me put it to you like this - the NO Stars with 3 missing defensive starters, and a ***** secondary managed
a fumble, an INT and 2 sacks vs Mike&Mike great Gints D line that failed to sack him or
cause enough pressure to where he would throw an interception or fumble the ball

And Dez was the victim of yet another non-catch, because he can't keep ahold of the ball through the act of going to the ground.
