RG III will sign with...

I'm going with other...I think RG would best benifit from learning behind a good veteran coach/QB...I'm hoping this happens, would love to see Robert succeed on this level!! My guess would be the Cards or Saints. Cleveland is my sleeper...but they may be gun shy after Manziel..which is a shame because I think Jackson and RG would be a good fit.

I agree - I think he still needs time but, given what is available, I think this kid can help upgrade a franchise at QB

If he hasn't learned how to play better & smarter and take care of himself on the field he most likely never will

Backup to Russell Wilson in Seattle. Perfect fit.

Yea I thought about that, but will he ever play and Wilson is young. Couple of other spots where he could compte as the started...LA and NY (Jets)

But, but .... according to some here ... RG III is incapable of playing QB in the NFL

OR, maybe they mean't ... RG III is incapable of playing QB for the Redskins

IF the Redskins FO thinks that RG III could become a good NFL QB, why would they let him go?

Why not sign him for a year or 2 at $4-5M - is he getting that much elsewhere?

Agreed.

Right system, great D, Diva Whisperer coach, great place to learn what he sucks at.

I won't believe he isn't going to be on the Skins next year until I see it.

you're one of the guys that is convinced that RG III is not capable of playing QB - why would Scot or Jay want a QB like that - or is it simply that while you know he cannot play QB, he's still here and that worries you?

If he gets offered a job I think it will be a team that runs some zone read spread stuff. Backing up Wilson might be the best thing for Griffin. He'd watch Wilson intelligently use mobility and maybe Robert could learn to effectively run their system.

Based on the unusual coach hirings of the past couple of days... SF and the Browns are now more likely to pursue Bob...

Kelly was hired to get rid of their best players... and then bring in... ummm... other players...

Chip Kelly will be under a lot of scrutiny, that's for sure, although, I don't think he has the final say, like he did at the eagles

I do think that the 49ers and the Browns might be good landing spots for RG III

Not capable of playing QB? Did you not watch 2013 or 2014? What worries me is this guy:

I honestly don't think SF or CLE are good spots for RGIII. While Chip Kelly is perhaps the best HC for RGIII to be under from a coaching philosophy level, they don't have the supporting cast to assist him in his maturation as an NFL QB. He needs a team with a VERY good OL and strong running game; which neither have. SF's is one of the worst in the league. CLE isn't great AND they literally have nobody at the skills positions. Honestly, the CLE situation makes the SF situation look pretty decent.

I've said this before, but he's not going to be a QB1, so he should go to a team like PIT, NO, AZ, GB, or KC --- learn how to be a real NFL QB, THEN go and try to EARN a shot at QB1. He's only 25, so he has those 2 years. At 27, he'll still be highly marketable.

For a quarterback who knows his vulnerabilities, that makes perfect sense... but for a quarterback who believes he is a 1, and who wants to make as much money as possible as soon as possible, it does not. So... does Bob acknowledge the holes in his skill set? Or, does he believe he should be making prime money as the starter somewhere?

I really like Bob... but since the start of his second season, I have had many questions about his objectivity around his own skill set. He NEVER came close to perfecting drop back technique or it's relationship to blocking schemes... and that is absolutely fundamental to a pocket passer... it is damned close to the most important skill group of all... yet, we saw zero progress in this area in year 2 OR in year 3...

This suggests that he does not see the importance here... and convinces me that he is adamant that he is ready to start, in his own mind. That's why I think that, if SF or Cleveland come knocking, he will listen with favor to their offers.

I said the Cowpies. I really do believe Jerrah wants the attention signing RGIII would bring, plus, he'd be sticking it to the Redskins, in their fans' eyes. Much needed hype all summer long. Then sit him behind Romo, and watch the fans call for him. Huge marketing coup.

I've been thinking, and saying this to a degree, for some time. He's a Baylor boy, loved by Texas as it is... Family is there.. pukes have a great OL.. Ohnos not only getting older, but has been oft injured. Good running game pretty decent D. All the pieces are there for him to possibly have a shot and do well. Oh, and a Dez to throw too! Their idiot coach is a retired qb himself. The thought of him piloting a dynasty in dullass, enroute to a HOF career makes me sick to my stomach! After all we gave up for him, to see it explode in our face as such seems to me, par for the course as a Redskins fan :/

That said, I think LA Rams are a good qb away from being relevant. I guess we shall see but Texas, Dullass, LA, SF, or Cle all seem to be plausible options atm.

I doubt RGIII will be all that successful wherever he ends up. No grudge here: I wish him every success, though I don't see it happening. Yet I foresee the inevitable: Wherever he ends up, he's gonna come out on top when he goes head to head against the Redskins.

But what if? What if the Redskins kept him on to be used as a surprise only once or twice a year? What if in 2 games of a 16 game season they completely changed the game plan, put him in as a one game starter, and let him run wild to his hearts content? If he gets hurt, experiment over, back to Kirk. But until then, it makes it a lot harder for other teams to plan. Little or no game tape. Not sure when he will appear. Just to mix things up and create havoc.

RGIII has talent in the right system. His weakness is durability. The cure for durability is to use him as the short term secret weapon.

His "parting" note left behind suggests that he still doesn't get it. In his mind, he's the best...he was just failed by everyone around him. And that's not Griffin's fault per se. It's the "yes" people he's surrounded himself with for years who have constantly been enabling him. And unless he finally has a real moment of self reflection, I don't think he'll ever be successful.

It really does not matter where RG III goes as long as he cannot play QB as some fans here have indicated - if he becomes a really good QB then that's a different matter because that then indicates that with a little different approach we might have had 2 really good QBs here

no big deal just a big 'shame on us' for the coaching staff

I think if offered a chance to go to the Cowboys Griffin would be ecstatic. It would be a homecoming of sorts but what better place to go to in the hopes of getting back at the Skins. Jerry Jones has said a number of flattering things about Griffin we are going to find out now if Jerry was sincere.

^^ really? Griffin's biggest problem is to find a franchise that will give him the coaching he needs to fix the problems he's having in becoming an NFL QB .... after that he will be hoping for the opportunity to play QB

Griffin has a long way to go and he's going to need a lot of things to go right if he's going to get to the next level

SJ, I think you are right but don't you think Gruden tried to coach him up? I know Gruden seemed to throw him under the bus at times but weather he wanted to or not, I think he was forced to work with RGIII and try to make him a "Pocket QB"
