Nice win. We always seem to beat Da Bears, so I had high expectations going in. Never trailing gives me a warm fuzzy.

1st road win since October 27th of last year gives me a warm fuzzy.

Lots of positives to take away from this game, a game that in past years we usually lose. I’ll start with...our kicker made the difficult kick in bad conditions, while theirs missed it. Cousins showed great resiliency after the pick leading a drive to take the lead back. For the first time in a long time I actually felt confident had Gould made the FG, we would have come back and won with a FG. I continue to love, love, love Jordan Reed. He is the one player that’s hard for other teams to match up with, we need more like him!! Put this is you pipe and smoke it…A win next week and the week after (coupled with one Giants loss) and we’re resting our starters against Dallas!! I’ll leave the negatives to the others…

Resting our starters against Dallas? Nah, I want to kick their asses in their own stadium again.

I'll admit that I was nervous as hell, even at 21-7. My fears were exacerbated 3 minutes later. Luckily, we hunkered down and walked away with the W. Too bad the Eagles won.

Glad that Gould missed that kick, but that happened with 1:47 on the clock. Cousins has shown several times this year that he could move the team in a two minute offense to end the game. (See the Falcons, Dallas, & Iggles games) Had that kick been good, we still had a good chance of moving into FG range for the win. Glad we didn't need to, though.

It was a good win by a team that continues to improve. I am loving Kirk Cousin's development; for the first time I'm starting to think he could even turn into a really good long-term starter at some point.

Man, that Dallas loss is now even more painful, considering we could be 7-6! Oh well, at least we are still in control of our destiny as of Dec 20. Last year at this time we were 3-11.

And even if we hadn't, the game would only be heading to overtime, where we'd get another chance to win. The odds were leaning solidly in our favor at that point. I'm glad we didn't have to roll the dice, of course.

it's always great to wake up on Monday after a Redskins win ... whether we win or the other team finds a way to lose ....

also great to see Jordan Reed show how good he can be when he's used properly - unstoppable yesterday

I keep reading comments like "we didn't win, the other team screwed up and lost." Well, that other team was usually US. Now we're on the winning side.

I'm enjoying the role-reversal after so many boneheaded losses in the past. Lets try to enjoy these wins while we're getting them.

Speaking for myself, I'm happy with a W anyway we can get it because so often we're the better unit on the field and yet we find a way to lose

we're 6-7 with a chance to win the division - just like in golf - there's no explanation/story, write down the number and add up the score - we get to win the NFC East and we're the champs no matter how we are perceived by others - there's no asterisk or anything



I just hate watching games that we should win become nail biters and it's clear that it's not all because of the players ...

More painful is the Atlanta loss. If Gruden had taken the one point instead of going for and missing the 2 point try, the Redskins would have been ahead by the one point with 24 seconds to go instead of tied. well, as the saying goes "If wishes were fishes, I have a school." Love the win. While I was screaming about how dumb the pass was from Cousin to Reed, it turned out to be a high-light paly when Jones got the deflected ball.

How lucky was that play? First, to make the catch on what could have easily been an INT. And then to have the ball bounce right back in his lap, after Jones tossed it away.

Loved how Cousins was aggressive after the pick! I think that was the difference and it won us the game. In the past, he turned ultra conservative. Defense played well not making Cutler comfortable.

Perhaps. All we really know is had we made the 1 point try we would've been ahead 14-12 at the time instead of 13-12. There is no telling what would've happened differently after that.

I agree with you (I think) that going for 2 then was ill advised.

It could be but Kirk seems like he wants to make plays. He doesn't come off as a guy who wants to be a game manager.

It's not McVay. He's the Offensive Coordinator, but Gruden calls the plays.

Completely agree. If anything, he's more of a gunslinger by nature.

Could be a way Gruden sees to cut down on the risky throws (INTs)?

The Skins are 6-7 with a shot to win the division and finish .500 or even better. This is already a huge improvement over last season.
