Redd Suspended Four Games

Redskins running back Silas Redd has been suspended for four games for violating the league’s policy on substances of abuse.
Although Redd is currently on injured reserve after suffering a serious knee injury in the preseason, he’ll serve the suspension over the team’s next four games. The 23-year-old will lose about $120,000 in salary.
Redd is under contract in Washington through 2016.

I'm fairly certain there were murmurs that he was going to be cut had he not been injured this year.

He was on the bubble and probably the odd man out. That said, there's a decent chance we lose Morris this offseason, and I honestly think that a Jones/Thompson/Redd combo has the potential to cover us. It will depend on how well he can recover from a brutal injury, but if he does, I think Redd's got the talent to stay on the team next year.

I think that's a VERY likely scenario.. only, with Scotty Mcs BPA approach to the draft; and his success with gems @ RB, we may draft another RB thus putting Redd back on the chopping block
