Skins: NFL's 4th Hardest Remaining Schedule

It appears we have the 4th most difficult remaining schedule in the NFL per football outsiders. I think most of us knew we had a very difficult schedule. It will be an interesting rest of the season. I am seeing us winning 3 of our remaining games (4 at best). That being said, if we played the ATL's remaining schedule, I could see us winning 6 of the remaining games. Crazy how that works out.

who cares - everyone plays 16 games and as Tom Brady says, "each and every game is hard to win" - there's really no "strength of schedule" - you play well you win, you don't play well you lose - it's simple
it doesn't matter how many games we win - it's how well we play that's important as we use the next 18 months to get better - we might even contend for the NFC East title in 2017 if we get lucky

I'd rather have a tough schedule than easy. Its the last 3 or 4 games that we prepare ourselves for and those will be the toughest of all games. If we had an easy schedule the first 16games we wouldn't be as competitive in the games that count.

The 49ers of the '80s would beg to differ.

6-10 worse case 8-8 very best case scenario.

we get the Saints next week and they've given up 10 passing TDs the past 2 weeks ...
Kirk will have a huge day with his receivers and all will be well again ...

So here we are - 7 games to go (giants have 6) and the standings are:
giants = 5-5 ...... I predict 8-8 - losing @ Redskins; Panthers & @ Vikings
Redskins = 4-5 .. I predict 9-7 - losing @ Panthers & @ Cowboys
Eagles = 4-5 ..... I predict 7-9 - losing to Buccaneers; @ Patriots; Cardinals & Redskins
pukes = 2-7 ...... I predict 6-10 - losing to (maybe @ Dolphins) Panthers; @ Redskins; @ Packers

can you imagine the excitement here if we managed to find a way to beat the Panthers - gotta love it
this season has had some ups and downs and it would be nice to see a couple of good performances in a row for a change

I'm hoping for it man. How about making another bold prediction for us?
Texans just knocked off the undefeated Bengals last night. Anything can happen.

I think us going 9-7 this year was a pretty bold prediction, honestly.

OK - This might surprise some of you knowing me (or thinking you do!) - IMO we can win this game this Sunday with a good performance from the defense - the offense does not need to play great but the defense needs to do a good job for us to beat the Panthers
If our defense lifts their game, the offense just needs to play soundly and maybe we can win the next 7 games

I have changed my opinion of the Redskins offense and I feel that the O line is really benefitting from their new line coach - if the Redskins offense can get a decent run game from the 3 backs, Morris, Jones and Thompson, I believe this offense can play well enough to score some points - the issues we have been having on defense just need to get resolved and I believe this team can finish up the season pretty well
this is a big challenge this Sunday but anything can happen

I'm not normally a proponent of bleacher report, but this is an encouraging read ...

So I live about 30 minutes north of Charlotte, and have been a Redskins fan since I was a kid, over 30 years now, thanks in part to my grandpa. I never bought in when Charlotte was granted the Panthers, but I am immersed in panthers nation, as many of my friends are huge fans. I spend a lot of time in Charlotte, and I've been to many games. I watch and pull for them to do well, mainly because it's good for the city and surrounding area. Never will I pull for them over the Skins, especially this weekend when I would love to see the hype train derailed. There are tons of bandwagon fans here. With all of that being said, the Panthers are beatable. I've watched most of the games this year, and they do have weaknesses. If we can contain the only receiving option they have, Olsen, and not let Cam beat us with his feet, then I believe we can slow their offense down. Their defense is really good, they have a great corner in Norman who will most likely shadow DJax. Reed can have a big day if they can play the mismatches in coverage. Pass rush is good, but we've been doing a good job of protection, and Cousins gets the ball out of his hands pretty quick. Davis and Kuechly are really good, and will be all over the place. Hopefully the run game shows up again, and will afford us the use oF play action, which is where I think we do damage this game. It will be a very tough game, but not impossible to win. Just thought I could throw a little observation out there as someone who sees this team week in and week out. Here's to Sunday, and a hopeful push towards the division title,

!!!!

^^ + 1 the key to this game is not so much to have a great game from the offense but to have the defense play well & for the offense to use the run game & not make mistakes - simple really - the Redskins can win this game by everyone just doing their jobs & not making mistakes

well now - it's Thanksgiving for sure ...
after this weekend we'll be 5-6 and in 1st place in the NFC East ... we are a good chance to be 9-7 and maybe 10-6
giants are 5-6 and their next game is another loss to the Panthers - maybe 8-8 but even 9-7 puts them in 2nd
eagles are 4-7 and will be lucky to get to 6-10
pukes are 3-8 and will be lucky to get to 6-10
how great is this?
I love this 4th Hardest Remaining Schedule BS
