Who is teaching how to tackle?
Who is telling these guys to tackle around the shoulders? Is it more than one coach?

Re: Who is teaching how to tackle?
I'm going to assume this is not a rhetorical question. No one teaches tackling at the pro level. At the pro level it is assumed players know how to tackle. Actually tackling is another matter entirely.

It is also true that league rules on practice make it very difficult to work on many physical fundamentals... including tackling

Re: Who is teaching how to tackle?
I see poor tackling technique, our Lb's etc are trying to tackle around the shoulders. All our defensemen are doing it. From the DL to the guys in the backfield, they are trying to tackle a running back around his shoulders an dthey are too powerful for for that. Breeland got away with it because he had full running momentum in his favor.
It is as if all the guys are being told to tackle that way by the same coach - somebody teaches tackling at the pro level, better hire him.
Edited afterthought: This is more true with the running backs, not tackling the receivers so much. The running backs are shedding tackles and that is a major problem.

IN fairness. These have been stout, shifty running backs... The kind who specialize in making defenders miss. But, your point is taken... There are collective problems with technique.
