Skins WCO & Solid Defense

With Kirk at QB, the new OL and Jones the Skins have real, solid WCO. This much different than last year. Two games in a row the defense is solid. Well rested because the offense is getting first downs and consuming the clock.

I am eager to see how the Skins do against NY. Kirk has two of his worse games against NY but he has a improved supporting cast so hopefully he'll be solid Thursday.

I think Thursday's game will be telling. Last season we faced them Thursday night (From my memory it was the 3rd game of the season?) If Kirk stays confident and keeps things simple I think he will play well enough to give the team a chance to win. And I really like this new DLINE depth!

The Giants don't scare me. Contain Beckham and they have no offense.

It doesn't matter what kind of offense we run. The main factor is we can run the ball and have a good defense. Kirk manages the game well and in this game cut down his mistakes relied of good defense and a running game to back him up. He did not try to do too much. Which is a good formula.

Well be tested when the running game is stalled at some point in time. But by that time I believe we still need a really big reciever. Jordan Reed could be that guy but I still want a physical receiver.

No easy, unorganized walk-throughs this week like last year prior to the Gints game. Hopefully the coaching staff has learned a bit.

I have to say that the Giants have played better this season than I was expecting. It won't be easy to beat them on the short week.

Better take it seriously with Dez and Romo injured. Eagles looking awful. Its our chance!

I'm surprised that the Eagles have not looked good at all so far ...

I just want to beat the giants this week - we may not be all that good but it would be great to beat the giants in both games this season

Romo's down, Philly looks vulnerable and the Giant's look weak as well. Thursday is a big opportunity.

Hate to burst your bubble. But Giants would have won a high scoring game vs the boys if Eli would have just slid to keep the clock going. I didn't see them vs the Falcons, but it seems like they were doing well for 3 quarters. Wouldn't say they are weak. Honestly, they are probably comparable to the Skins.

I agree man. I thought the Giants would be the weakest team in the division this year, but they've looked better than I expected. Coughlin always seems to get the most out of them when they're on the ropes too. This is going to be a tough game on Thursday.

Not really. They have blown double-digit, 4th quarter leads the last two weeks. They are up against the wall. They will be ready and fired up for this game. If we do win, we will have struck a great blow to their season, and raised our own chances exponentially.

The Giants are FAR better than their record indicates. They lost by 1 to the Cowboys last week and could have very well won the game. The Falcons, as I had suspected, are a very solid team with an upgraded offensive and defensive coaching staff.

With Romo and Dez out, IMHO, they are the team to beat in the NFC East. Historically, we have not faired well @NYG --- so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Also --- I hope that our team doesn't get complacent or full of themselves. I have always liked to play teams after they have WON over after they have lost because they don't thave that chip on their shoulder. It will be a good indicator of how they respond post-WIN vs. post-loss.

Actually, when we split the series with them, we usually win at each other's home. For some reason we usually play crappy football against them at home. But I agree that they will be the team to beat in the East this season. Don't let their 0-2 record fool you, folks, this game will be tough.

Lot of "letdowns" in the NFL yesterday, I'm glad we're playing a division game...should help us avoid the letdown. You have to win in your division... "If" the Skins can contiue to play D and run the ball they will stay in most games....it just becomes a lesson in how to win games from there.

Understandable, but the Giants are 8-2 playing us in NJ over the past 10 (with both wins coming the second time we played them in December). And we have only split the series 3 times in the past 10.

We haven't won @NYG's prior to December since 2000.

This will be a big game for us I think.

"Never tell me the odds." - Han Solo

The odds are we're going to eat lightning and we're going to crap thunder all over the Giants. We're due and we're playing our asses off.

Matt Jones is going to go "Beast Mode" at some point... You can see it, just under the surface. This would be a good week.

Lol! What have the Skins done to get big headed or complacent? They won one game against the Lambs...woopty do! Go beat a team like GB or NE, THEN I'd worry about them getting big headed...

we're going to win some games we shouldn't and we're going to lose some games we should win ...

so far we've lost a game we really should have won and won a game we maybe should have lost (the Rams beat the Seahawks!) ...

how we've done in years past means nothing at all + this giants squad has played way above their capabilities the past 2 games

it's time to take the giants down - Cousins just needs to use Morris & Jones and not turn the ball over - simple really :D
