If they released him, I would say go for it. But, to trade for him would cost way too much.

I'd be down to pay him.. but I think the Mc in control isnt impressed with the display of character holding out is.. on the flip ide maybe he respects the man who wants what he not o ly deserves, but has rightfully earned.
Even if it meant letting RGiii and a draft pick, I'd be down... That's why I work at a Country Club, not an NFL front office though!

Heck I believe Scotty Mac drafted him if Im not mistaken?
It would cost a first round draft pick. I am not sure Scott would be willing to let that go.

The dude will be 28 by the time we get him. That isn't worth a first rounder. There is a reason Kam is holding out ---- he's got 3 years left on his deal and he'll be 31 by the time he takes the field after it expires..... an age that makes his FAR less valuable.
I don't blame Kam, but I don't want his above-market contract to become the reason we no longer can acquire depth.....
He is local which I like, but generally teams want to stay young and increase depth --- this signing would do the exact opposite.

Because this team is far more than one safety away from contending. If that was all we needed I'm thinking Scot McCloughan would have already made the call. My guess is Chancellor will be 30 or older by the time this team is going anywhere. So, why pay for two years of a safety that does absolutely no good when the rest of the secondary stinks?

I agree with everything you said here.
We're not one player away. Be patient.
