Scroll down this article. There's just a sentence about Winslow. I hope this is BS. I'll not be happy on draft day if this happens.

And Miami tight end Kellen Winslow says that Joe Gibbs assured him that if he's available at No. 5, he'll be the Skins' choice.
I hope not

lol, why would anyone NOT want a BEAST like K2? Kellen Winslow Jr is probably the BEST player in the draft

Because he has attitude problems and we need defense way more than we need offense right now.

Winslow talks to much. It's BS. Everything that I have heard is that Gibbs wasn't impressed with Winslow when he came out to the park for workouts and he has picked the wrong agent.

Ahhhhh... another Dr. Z article. That explains it.

Attitude problems?!?!
Kellen Winslow has an EXCELLENT attitude!!
He is willing to do ANYTHING to be the BEST, he's extremely coachable and respectful... I would say that he has the quintessential football player attitude.

I heared he was late for meetings and was out of shape when he showed up at Redskins park. Did any of you here that too? I have to find that article.

Yes, he's a beast. But at a position that is, at best, third on the priority scale behind Taylor at safety and practically anyone on the D-line.

how can you say TE is third in priority? We have NO serviceable starting TE's and we have a very good saftey tandem and a good d line.
TE is the weakest position we have, until the draft that is

TE's aren' really "serviced" in Gibbs' offense.
Blocking...and as far as that is concerned we have "serviceable TE's" in that regards.
Rasby is profiled as a "blocking TE"
Newly signed Kowlzloski (sic) is a "blocking TE"
And Robert Royal is a big TE that has yet to show his potential.
Don't forget that Leonard Stephens is in Europe right now and is being coached by former ProBowl TE Ben Coates.
He might surprise people in Training Camp.
As for Ware...well, he is hung over and has recently enrolled in his neighborhood Fight Club.
PS -- Good Safety Tandem? Iffy will be a Free Agent next year....do you think he will get his PayDay in Washington?
Don't think so. The Skins will let Iffy go next season and he will sign with the Lions (who will over pay him)....So a Safety is needed now to replace Iffy...might as well get TAYLOR.

The dline is the most needed priority. They suck except for Griffin. Either way Winslow or Taylor, they are both going to be pro bowlers and probably the best at there positions.

yeah, so after they were completely unimpressed with winslow, gibbs decided to guaranttee him that he would be a redskin...yeah right

I hope this isn't true. We can get a decent TE later in the draft, I don't think we can say the same about the safety position. Lets get TAYLOR!!!

I want us to have one of the hardest hitting defenses this year!!!

ahhh. no winslow, i hate this guy. he does have a bad attitude and he is the kind of guy that won't hesitate to quit if he doesn't get his way. He's T.O.X2...He pouts when he's losing and gloats when he's winning. sore winner and sore loser. not my style or Gibbs style. we don't need him as much as other positions. no, we don't have the best TE's in the league, but we have the right ones for the right offense. They're here to block, and they're good blockers. Winslow is cocky and a definate cancer in the long run. I pray that he is a distant memory in Gibbs head right now.
