Anyone want to take a stab at what the starting lineup on botg offense and defense is going to be going into 2015?
Interested to see which vets, and new additions you guys have starting.

I'll give it a shot.
LT - Trent
LG - Louavo
C - Licthenstiger
RG - LeRibeus (just a hunch the light will go off working with Callahan)
RT - Scherff
WR - Desean
WR - Garcon
TE - Reed
FB - DY
RB - Morris
QB - RGIII
Defense
LDE - Paea
NT - Pot Roast
RDE - Hatcher
LOLB - Kerrigan
LILB - Robinson
RILB - Riley (on a short leash)
LOLB - Murphy
LCB - Breeland
RCB - Culliver
Nickel - Amerson
SS - Goldson
FS - D Hall (I think the time has come to make the move to safety)

I'd replace:
1) LeRibeus with Long
2) Amerson with Hall
3) Hall with Johnson
Not sure why Riley is on a short leash...who would replace him? Compton or Spaight? Doubting it. Maybe more likely they move Murphy to ILB so they can start Smith.

People give Perry Riley a hard time. I just think Haslett use to put him in bad situations too often. Perry is a north/south type of guy and has been good against the run with us for years.

You could be right. I did like that Martrell Spaight pick though. Not expecting him to start week 1 or anything, but I was really glad to see them take another ILB. McGloughan made a big point in his press conference today about how and why he loves these SEC guys. He said you're going to see a lot them drafted while he is in charge.

LeRib eh? Bold prediction.
The offensive line is tough to predict. I'm not really sure what to expect, but I'd be happy to see one or more of those young guards work their way into starting positions.

This was Tandler's take on LeRib today btw:
G Josh LeRibeus—The current coaching staff doesn’t seem to have much faith in LeRibeus, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract. It’s hard to see him holding on to his roster spot if fourth round pick Arie Kouandjio, who is two inches taller and more of the power blocker the team is now looking for, shows much of anything.
Thought this one was interesting too:
WR Andre Roberts—Jamison Crowder taking Roberts’ roster spot is something of a long shot but I wouldn’t rule it out if Crowder can pick up the slot receiver job in a hurry. Cutting Roberts post-June 1 would cost $1 million in dead money but save $2.75 million against the cap. There would be a leftover dead cap charge of $2 million next year. Jamison’s presence if probably more of a threat to Roberts’ job security in 2016.

More or less wishful thinking on my part riggofan. For some guys it takes until year 3 for the lightbulb to go off. I hope either him or Long takes that RG spot. Anyone but Chester. I don't know why he still has a roster spot to be honest.

I have to take issue with this. IMO, not only will Jeron Johnson be starting at safety come week one, but his backup won't be Hall either. I think Hall fights for a spot at CB, and if he can't make the second or third spot, he's in danger of just being cut.

I hear you man. It will be really disappointing to see that guy cut or for him to leave here having played the few snaps he has played so far. I'm kind of holding out hope for Spencer Long myself.
I've heard some mention of possibly using Moses at guard when he is back too.

Thats what I see, the unknown is Amerson. Amerson has youth and talent but bad has made bad decisions, so I think they'll keep either Amerson or Hall. Maybe Amerson to the practice squad and call him up if somebody gets injured?
If the keep Riley they have to get him out of coverage.

Amerson is NOT eligible for the practice squad.
His decision making will improve... And he's way too good in run support to keep on the bench forever.

how about Amerson as a possibility at FS? I know the analysts were talking about that when he was drafted a few years ago.....that he may make a better FS than CB.

Amerson looked good as a rook.. last year he was always in poor positions- coach? Scheme? Did he choose to line up five yards deep in the endzone on a 2nd and goal from the 4- or was he put there?
We NEVER jammed wrs at the line. We ALWAYS played soft coverages... I have a feeling that we might see some people rise in just getting rid of Haz.
Hall probably will be nickle back as well as FS back up.
Im curious to how Inhenacho and Merriweather play into the mix with Johnson and Goldson? The likely starters.. is Thomas still on the roster?
Hope is fleeting for LeRib- but im still hoping Long and/or Mosses can contribute

Id also like to add that all these young linemen who havent been able to see the field is even more telling why Sherff was the BPA and, to me, makes him worth every bit of the number 5 that we spent on him.
Not sure if its our scouting dept, the strength and conditioning coaches, the scheme, lack of drive, or a combination of all- but its rather sad that none of these youngsters have developed into contributors since being drafted. Everyone talks about wasted picks on Griff- bit had we done better with the picks we did have we wouldve alleviated the hefty price tag we paid.#justsayin

Hopefully Long and Kouandjio take over for Chester/Lauvao. Can Chester play Center? I think I've heard that, might be a better option. Morgan Moses is a guard possibility i guess.
I'm gonna take Preston Smith over Murphy. They might switch Kerrigan to weak side and put Smith on the other. Preston Smith's 3 cone and shuttle were better than Dante Fowler. I think he can be a 3-4 OLB. I think that's the intention.
Corner is completely up for grabs. You wonder if they'll give Hall the benefit of the doubt over Breeland. I'll take Breeland.
Crowder could easily take Roberts job imo
Matt Jones to 3rd down back because he can block and looks to have good hands when they throw to him.
I think everything else will pretty much be chalk. I wouldn't discount the possibility of Jeron Johnson being pushed. He was a backup. But I think he'll start.

Is Merriweather? I thought he was gone for some reason.

He's a UFA who nobody seems to want.
