BOB3....rejected by Tom Brady

So last year during the joint practice of Skins/Pats, Bob asked Tom to give him a few pointers. To which Tom said: "not until my career is over Bob." LOL, Bob wanted pointers, Tom kindly rejected.

Last year, as Washington and New England prepared to engage in joint practices, quarterback Robert Griffin III expressed a strong interest in talking to Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

“If I get a chance to sit down and talk to him, I’d love to, just to pick his brain,” Griffin said at the time.

But Griffin learned that Brady has no interest in allowing his brain to be picked. Griffin tells Jeff Darlington of NFL Media that Brady declined.

“Not until my career is done, Rob,” Brady told Griffin. (Of course, there’s a chance Griffin’s will be done first.)

Griffin still learned plenty from watching Brady and the Patriots.

I don't blame him. I wonder how much info Doug Williams is giving him? I remember an interview with Williams when he was hired that said he was going to leave the advice and quarterbacking tips to Gruden. Wouldn't hurt to pick his brain.

and it all means absolutely nothing ...

the only person that can make a difference with Robert is himself ...

it's just amazing what you can achieve when you work hard enough

I applaud Griffin for asking. Griffin and every other young QB should study Brady's film and watch how he shifts around in the pocket to buy time. That is an area that Robert needs to improve on and Brady is a master. Of course to be effective doing that a QB needs to understand how the defense is attacking during the play and the protections scheme of the offense for that play. So maybe it would take a lot more than just watching what Brady does for Robert to decrease his sacks but Brady's ability to subtly shift in the pocket to help his lineman block is a big part of his success.

Another theme of the article is whether Griffins comments about how the Pats behave is a passive aggressive shot at the Redskin staff and his teammates. I dunno it could be an innocent comment complimenting the Pats because they are the champs and people always look at what the best are doing and want to emmulate a champion, but he's tossed guys under the bus before so I can understand the journalist raising that question.

this is all from an incident that Griffin is recalling from a year ago and a lot of the conjecture here is out of context

Griffin was pointing to a lot of the positives about being on the practice fields together - we really don't know how it went down

people just making stuff up ... again

Griffin needs to show that he is going to be able to read what is happening on the field - any improvement would be good because he was horrible at it last season

The first step to Alcoholism recovery is to ADMIT that you are an alcoholic (I don't drink btw....lol)

Bob is taking the FIRST step in the 12 step program: he admits he SUCKS at many things and is in need of help and coaching and listening to advice and keep OFF of social media.

Let's hope he's on the road to RECOVERY.

I don't want Bob to fail ---- I want the Skins to WIN GAMES (and lots of them)

I agree that Griffin needs to understand his failings at playing QB but this article was before last season - I think that a whole lot has happened to him and around him in that time ...

this article is only relevant when you consider it was about stuff from before the mess we witnessed on the field

he shows improvement soon or he's gone
