Thread about our QB offseason camp

I just got back in town from tying the knot on the beautiful beach in Cancun...
Now I distinctly remember seeing articles about RGIII inviting wideouts, tight ends, and maybe rbs for some offseason chemistry building work- like he did previously when not hurt.
I know theres alot of hate for my dawg here, and the rgme bs.. but to me this is what a leader does despite all the adversity. He is trying to be the leader we need... and come OTAs, win or lose the starting role, it cant be said it was for lack of effort.
I can scour the webs for insight to said camp, but if anyone has any info or a link to a thread on it please share it here.
Thanks

Griffin III, Receivers To Begin Workouts Soon

With the calendar turned over to a new league year, several offensive players are looking to get back together soon for an informal passing camp.
While official offseason workouts may still be weeks away, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin IIIwants to make sure his offensive weapons are on the same page .
So for the third time in four years, the former second-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft is going to get some of his receivers together for an informal passing camp at an undisclosed location.
"We’re all going to go on a little team trip, most of the offensive guys are going to go on a team trip to get some work in fairly soon here,” tight end Niles Paul said recently in an interview on SiriusXM. “He brought everyone together last year to get some work in before we started offseason training. But, it’s a big step for Rob. I think it’s him stepping into a role and embracing it as a true leader of this team.”
Griffin III was central to the Redskins convening during the offseason last year in Arizona for workout sessions that included Pierre Garçon, Andre Roberts, Santana Moss, Jordan Reed and Chris Thompson.
In June 2012, just a few weeks before his first NFL training camp, Griffin III got several of the weapons together in Waco, Texas.
“We knew we needed to get together," he told Ian Rapoport of NFL.com at the time. "We got workout facilities and everything. Shockingly, I convinced them to come to Waco, Texas, because not everybody wants to do that."
While the Redskins haven’t been collectively together since the end of the 2014 season, Paul knows that taking advantage of this time of year can only benefit the Redskins as they look to gel in their second season in Jay Gruden and coordinator Sean McVay's offense.
That starts with getting in-sync with Griffin III, whom was named the “No. 1 guy” by Gruden entering the 2015 season.
“We have a lot of time to work with guys,” said Paul, who recently signed a new deal with the team. “I know with me, I run with the No. 1s, 2s and 3s. …As far as coming in and running the offense, each quarterback brings a different dynamic to the offense, to the huddle and to the play call, and you just need to get used to their tempo, their pace to the game and stuff.”

Congrats on getting married. I got married in Dec 1982 and we're still going strong!!
You and I (maybe one or two others) aren't totally negative about RGIII. I hold out a lot of hope for him.
He had a very good first year, ending with a serious knee injury.
Year 2 -- he was rushed back by Shanahan, He was not ready! He spent his entire off season getting back on field and not learning how to play the qb position.
Year 3 - new head coach, 25 year old offensive coordinator and NO QB coach. Plays pretty well first game but dislocates ankle game 2. Again, rushed back. Gruden flipped and flopped on the qbs.
I hear RGIII isn't liked in the locker room. But, Orakpo comes out in defense of him. I hear Gruden doesn't like him. Gruden names his starter a month ago...months before training camp and season!!
He has the physical attributes to be a quality QB! Hopefully he's working to improve his mechanics and ability to read field. Hopefully, Cavanaugh is working to help him. I really don't want to go into free agency and draft in 2016 needing a qb....I'm hopeful!!!

Thanks yall!!
We took the unconventional route of 11 years and two kids (eldest turned 8 yesterday) before tying the knot.. So, although our anniversaries restart, it was mainly a symbolic wedding- to seal the deal I guess.
Anyhow- Robert has had a tough uphill battle since that record setting rookie year and the fateful playoff unjury. Im surprised how positive he has remained through all the garbage, and now that he is liked by less and counted out by more; I have even more hope for him. A quality qb coach should help- shame it hasn't been a pivotal part of his maturation until now.
I like that the team is working on their game in the offseason, regardless of which qb its with- we need to have this kind of drive and passion spread throughout the locker room!!!
Counting down the days till draft day-
