What Would Your Prefer?

If you had to pick what the Redskins did during the off season from the following choices what would you prefer:

1. Substantially improve the size, power and run blocking of the the offensive line through FA and the draft

2. Substantially improve the defense by upgrades on all the three levels.

3. Modest upgrades to offensive line and defense (combo of 1 & 2)

4. Use #5 for new QB and general upgrades across the board through FA and remaining draft picks.

5. Other including whatever Scot wants.

As for me I would want to substantially improve 1 unit so progress is noticeable. I would rather do that than incremental improvement across the board that might not be noticeable. I'm so low now I need to see them substantially fix something, I need to see they can accomplish a unit upgrade so I can believe in Scot & Jay are in charge and capable and I think concentrating on 1 unit would be my preference. I would be a substantial overhaul of the OL so the Skins could run more effectively. I think with a better OL they could control the ball better and win 2-4 more games and provide a better working environment for the QB. At this point I would be pleased if they looked better and won 6-7 games in 2015. My second choice would be #2. The Skins scored a decent amount of points when Cousins was playing but the defense couldn't maintain a lead even before Cousins interception implosions. So if they used the top picks for defensive talent and were visibly better that would help me feel more hopeful. My third choice and what I expect is a shuffling across both units that hopefully leads to improvement. If it is #4 I will be so pissed. My only solace is it will only be 1 pick not a Megabust 4 top picks like Griffin.

Well, that is what I'd like to see what about you?

Substitute defensive line for offensive line, and I think you've got your wish.

As I read his post, I was scratching my head, thinking exactly the same thing...

Beyond that, I think that
whatever Scot wants
is what's going to happen.

I agree with the above and would like to leave option #4 out, it would be refreshing to see a conversation of improvement without the QB's controversy, I would replace #4 with a request for a killer place kicker.

I choose substantially improving everything. Its what championship teams do.

We got so very lucky we landed Scotty Mac. He helped build up San Fran and Seattle to championship caliber teams. I already love the moves he has made. We did not overspend at all yet I believe we substantially improved the Dline so far.

If there was a clear left tackle prospect available at 5 I would nab him. However that is not the case this year. I would go ahead and grab Shelton to further improve our Dline. Shelton and Pot Roast would make a very nasty Defensive front.

Everything needs to be addressed. I really hope that a team trades up and the team gets two first rounders. Because safety needs to be addressed and there is one stand out one. Just he isn't going to picked at #5. Ideally I want a lineman (offense or defense) in the first round and Collins. It depends what position has depth later in the draft.

Forbath is very accurate. I think we should use Way for KO's & maybe long FG's.

I think OL has much better depth.

He is rated at 29th out of 35 (ESPN Harris rating), I agree he is accurate out to 39yds, past that? Remember, the offense puts points on the boards, kickers win games. Kai isn't that guy.
