Yea, I think we only have like 100K under the cap. That is why we are trying to get Samuels to restructure.....and welcome.

100 K under? how did we drop that fast. Who have we signed recently that has brought us down from just under 3 mil to now 100 K. Plus, if we were that much in trouble with our cap situation, why would we have upped our offer to Warrick Holdman? There's no way we are that little under the cap.

sorry, I read it wrong. It gave them an extra 180K in cap space. That wasn't the total.

I haven't seen anything official since Mar. 17th when we were 3.36M under the cap.
There should be a new list in the next couple of days, and I usually post it when it comes out (or someone does anyway

)

The Redskins are about $1.4 million under the salary cap. An offer sheet that is purposely unfriendly toward the cap will make it difficult to retain Pierce. Last week, the Redskins signed reserve linebacker Khary Campbell, who would be insurance if Pierce leaves.
this is from the post article on the possible loss of pierce to the vikes (dated friday april 16th).

can we make some more cap space if we cut Trung? Maybe we restructure Samuels too and then we can sign Adewale Ogunleye (or trade for him, since it looks like he's not signing with anyone)

ogunleye is too expensive - in terms of draft picks. miami seems unwavering in their demand for a first and third for him. we don't even have a third. if you're going to do that, you might as well just pick harris or udeze with our first rounder.

What choice do they have? He's going to hold out and they will need to sign him to the money he wants or else.
