hah. I just know you guys will love to hear this "report":

http://washington.cbslocal.com/2015/02/ ... son-trade/
Report: Redskins ‘Dark Horse’ to Land Adrian Peterson if Traded by Vikings
Adrian Peterson could be on the trade block in the near future, after his relationship with the Vikings took a “dramatic turn” last week at the NFL combine, according to Jason La Canfora.

Peterson, 29, still has three years remaining on his contract, and is owed $13 million in 2015, according to La Canfora.

La Canfora reports Peterson’s agent “engaged in a heated exchange with Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski, during which the agent made it clear that Peterson would never play there again.”

The two were eventually separated by Tampa general manager Mark Dominik, per La Canfora, who further notes none of the involved parties have responded to requests for comment.

On Saturday, Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole reported Peterson “wants to go to Dallas,” a partnering which La Canfora says “would hardly be a slam dunk.” Cole’s report was later disputed by Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, who insisted Peterson “hasn’t asked for a trade.”

Now, Peterson “has no intention of playing again for the Vikings,” La Canfora says, later adding, “one source suggested the Washington Redskins as a dark-horse potential suitor for him.”

Peterson turns 30 years old in March.

This is obviously complete BS btw. But still funny that its out there.

Jason La Canfora said on 1067 that he thinks the Redskins might be interested in Adrian Peterson because of Ben Dogra's relationship w/ Dan.

Good to know we're still the team agents throw out there to get leverage in free agency.

AP is a good running back but I don't think running back is a position of need for the Skins so why spend a great deal of money on AP? What do you want to do trade Morris for AP?

Can we retitle this thread “Redskins Rumor of the Day” and just post the daily rumors here!!

No way he comes here (Vinnie is long gone). Much better chance that he plays the Redskins twice a year though (in some shade of blue).

God, let's hope not. The last thing we need is an aging RB. RBs over 30 are not a good investment, especially at $13 million a year.

This will not be happening.
1. He and MN will reach a deal.
2. Too many decent RB's available to warrant the kind of money it would take.

La Canfora is notorious for being wrong on just about everything Redskins related. Guys an idiot.

That and I wouldnt want him. At 30 he is not a team carrying RB anymore. In our offense he wouldnt be much if any more productive than Alf, and especially not 12m more productive.

What JLC failed to mention was that the "source" naming the Redskins as a "dark horse potential suitor" was a little runt named Jason La Canfora.

You would take AP for $13+ million per year on a multi year deal? Because thats what itll take to get him. Given our history, and atleast how I personally feel about alf, he isnt worth near what he will cost.

now - I just agreed that what you felt was good enough for me - OK?

now, how in the world do you get that I would agree to taking AP for that price?

take it slowly for me because I'm really not that good at this - just give me the details

WTF is that all about?

No. Not even for free.

Any reps he gets are reps taken away from a younger, long-term player.

We don't need him.

I figured we could just continue with this thread to discuss the crazy free agent rumors that will be flying around for the next two weeks. This one is pretty great:

Dianna Marie Russini
@NBCdianna
Follow

If the Lions can't agree to a long term extension with Ndamukong Suh, the Redskins are interested per sources with the organization.

lol. The Redskins and 31 other teams...

I have read that we may go after Suh, then Winston, now AP.

Out of those 3, which are all HORRIBLE options, the LAST thing we need in DC is another RB. We have, IMHO, a top 5 in the NFL RB. We don't need to spend $$$ on something we already have -- especially when we have so many holes.

If we got AP, Scot's days should be numbered. I LITERALLY can't think of a more idiotic FO move than signing AP.

I can. We could send two first round picks to the Cowboys and sign Dez for five years for $100 million.
