Congratulations to the winners of the Divisional Round. So, here's what we have left:
1 ACW
2 Deadskins
3 SkinsJock
4 DarthMonk
This week, 4 will play at 1, and 3 @ 2.
Rules Recap:
Home field advantage is given by making the visiting team pick first. There will be two deadlines for getting picks in, one for the visitors and one for the home team. This week the visitors' deadline is 12:00 NOON, EST on Thursday. You are picking the winner of each game, and a point total for the entire weekend. Once a visitor has made his picks, he can change his picks as often as he'd like, up until the home team has made their picks. This means that the visitor can still make his picks after the deadline has passed, as long as the home team has not yet made their picks. The home team can not make their picks until the visiting team has done so, or the visiting team's deadline has passed. Once the home team has picked, the visiting team's picks are locked, EVEN IF THE VISITORS' DEADLINE HAS NOT PASSED. The home team's picks don't lock until five minutes before the first game of the weekend (the home team's deadline). The home team's total score prediction can not be an even number difference from the visiting team's total. (Visitors say 121, home team can't say 123. This way, no ties) Whole numbers only.
Here are the games to be Hognosticated this weekend:
SUNDAY, JANUARY 18TH
GB (12-4) @ SEA (12-4) 3:05PM ET
IND (11-5) @ NE (12-4) 6:40PM ET
Good luck to everyone, and happy Hognosticating!

Nothing definitive yet but leaning toward home teams. Pondering points.

Well, DarthMonk and I both pick NE. I'm putting my faith in Rodgers.

Good luck and may the best team win.

The bummer here is I want the Pack. I guess I want them more than I want to win this thing so even though it would mean me losing, I will remain a Packer fan this weekend.
Hasta.

I'd love to see the Colts and Packers in the Super Bowl ...
if only 1 could get there let it be the Packers

My head says SEA, but I'm going with my heart. Worst case scenario, I'll lose in the conference championship round (after getting a double bye

) and be the Peyton Manning of Hognostications. I can live with that

Pack probably more likely (though I had DEN winning last week, so who knows). I'm either cheering for GB or whoever wins the AFC to win the Lombardi. The Seahawks winning again

Here's how I see 'em.
PAC has a better O than CAR and CAR put up 17. PAC should be good for 24.
CAR has a better D than PAC and SEA put up 31 ... but 7 were a direct result of a pick 6 which AR will not allow. It comes out in the wash and SEA is good for 31 in this one as well.
SEA wins this one 2 out of 3 times.
PAC must not turn it over ... unless they get an extra one from SEA.
If PAC wins the turnover battle by one, it's a coin flip. If PAC loses it by one, PAC is 90% to lose.
31 + 24 = 55 points.
PAT will take away Hilton and the TE. They will dare Luck to audible to the run all day or wear out Reggie Wayne. They are good for 20, possibly 27.
IND will not be able to stop PAT who will go for somewhere between 31 and 41.
PAT wins this one 4 out of 5 times. A one turnover advantage for IND almost gets them to even but not quite. They need at least 2 turnovers.
34 + 23 = 57 points.
100 seemed like a good number.
In spite of my leanings, I will drink beer and cheer for PAC. I'd love to see them defeat PAT in a Super Bowl. I will cheer for the AFC if SEA gets there.

Highway robbery. Fake field goal. Onside kick.
Deadman hoping for a low scoring game tonight.

Burnett sliding down after the pick. Lot of little things (plus the defense choking at the end).

Is there gonna be a 3rd-place-game in two weeks?

congrats to ACW and JSPB for a great season ...
much as I dislike the Pats and their coach - I'm looking for a Brady win in 2 weeks

Yeah, I knew when they tacked on 17 extra points because that dillweed tried to handle the onside kick instead of blocking, that I might be in trouble. Then, when Revis intercepted Luck, I knew the end was near. Leave it to the Pats to run up the score and add a meaningless TD that killed me. It's my own fault for not locking SJ out when I had the chance. smh

Not so fast. With deflate-gate now being confirmed, I'm thinking at least one of those Patriots TDs should be negated, leaving me with a
dead-on 95 point total. At the very least SJ's victory is once again tainted. Time for a new asterisk.
